The famous duo will finally share the silver screen in early 2027.

<a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/elle-fanning-best-red-carpet-looks-the-great" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Elle</a> and <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/dakota-fanning-young-actress-style-evolution" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Dakota</a> Fanning have been appearing at events and on red carpets together since the early 2000s, yet the two successful actors have never starred together on-screen...until now. The sisters are slated to star in the film adaptation of Kristin Hannah's 2015 novel,&nbsp;The Nightingale, which is set to release on February 12, 2027.
The actresses are also producing the film, and have been involved with the project together since 2019, but it was just confirmed that Elle and Dakota will share the screen in the movie. It is hard to believe that such successful sisters have never once acted in a film together, but after decades of building their separate careers, the two will finally join forces. Though if we want to get into the nitty-gritty of their filmographies, Dakota and Elle both acted in the 2001 movie,&nbsp;I Am Sam, but never performed alongside one another, as they played the same character at different ages.
While we wait for&nbsp;The Nightingale&nbsp;to hit the big screens, we can watch Dakota in the upcoming Peacock series, All Her Fault, and Elle in the films Predator: Badlands and Sentimental Value, which are both out on November 7.
The Nightingale became an instant classic following its 2015 release. The story follows two French sisters navigating the intensity of life during World War II. It sold 11 million copies and held the top spot on the New York Times Best Sellers List. Loyal fans have long-awaited the on-screen adaptation, and their wishes have officially been answered. The <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/dakota-elle-fanning-sisters-style-evolution-young-photos" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Fanning sisters'</a> roles have not been confirmed yet, but for now, the news that they are playing sisters on screen could not be any sweeter.
