L'OFFICIEL breaks down the cast and other Season 2 details.&nbsp;

Before the Season 1 finale of <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/film-tv/the-white-lotus-renewed-season-2-hbo" target="_blank" rel="noopener">The White Lotus</a> aired, fans were gifted some surprising <a href="https://www.instagram.com/p/CSZ6IZrp29N/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">news</a>&mdash;the series would return for a second season. And it's no wonder why. The show has been a huge success. Over <a href="https://www.thewrap.com/the-white-lotus-finale-ratings-viewers-hbo-hbo-max/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">1.9 million</a> overall viewers tuned in to the season finale back in the summer of 2021 and it was announced a year later that the show was nominated for <a href="https://www.instagram.com/p/Cf6zY7er8sT/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">20</a> <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/film-tv/2022-emmy-nominations-television-entertainment" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Emmys</a>.&nbsp;
And after more than a year, we finally know when fans can expect to see the next installment of <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/travel-living/where-to-vacation-based-on-your-zodiac-sign-astrology" target="_blank" rel="noopener">vacationers</a>. L'OFFICIEL has all the details below.&nbsp;

Despite the first season's massive success, with the depiction of dysfunctional family dynamics and complicated relationships, only two members of the original cast will be returning.&nbsp;The anthology series will feature a new plot and a different set of characters each season. (Think: American Horror Story.)&nbsp; Even though <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/film-tv/sydney-sweeney-starring-spider-man-spinoff-madame-web-euphoria-dakota-johnson" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Sydney Sweeney</a> and <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/film-tv/alexandra-daddario-actress-the-white-lotus-hbo-interview" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Alexandra Daddario</a> fans (and fans of the others, too) are crying, there is a glimmer of hope. Season 1 star J<a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/film-tv/jennifer-coolidge-actress-roles-legally-blonde-white-lotus" target="_blank" rel="noopener">ennifer Coolidge,</a> who played Tanya McQuoid, will be <a href="https://people.com/tv/white-lotus-season-2-returning-to-hbo-in-october/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">returning</a> for the second season alongside her character's love interest Greg (Jon Gries). In a short HBO Max <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rzG2N3jjFqg" target="_blank" rel="noopener">teaser</a>, fans can see the two riding along a scenic route on a Vespa.&nbsp;
Because of the switch to the anthology format, <a href="https://people.com/tv/the-white-lotus-season-2-everything-to-know/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">new faces will be joining the cast.</a>

Will there be more trouble in paradise? Divergent&nbsp;actor <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/film-tv/emily-ratajkowski-lying-stealing-premiere-2019" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Theo James</a> and The Bold Type's Meghann Fahy are coupled up, and so are&nbsp;Will Sharpe and <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/the-red-carpet-of-the-mtv-movie-amp-tv-awards" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Aubrey Plaza</a>. Perhaps, one of these couples will be the next Rachel and Shane.&nbsp;
Other cast additions? F. Murray Abraham, Michael Imperioli, and Adam DiMarco. And looks like there will be more family drama this season because the three will be playing a father, son, and grandson, respectively. Other resort attendees <a href="https://people.com/tv/the-white-lotus-season-2-everything-to-know/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">include</a> Tom Hollander, <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/pop-culture/celebrities-lookalikes-natalie-portman-margot-robbie" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Haley Lu Richardson</a>, and Leo Woodall. Despite traveling for different reasons, all of them will find themselves at The White Lotus.&nbsp;

And while the new season features a new set of actors and actresses, there's a possibility that some original cast members could return later on. Creator Mike White told <a href="https://deadline.com/2022/08/white-lotus-season-2-mike-white-interview-podcast-1235094497/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Deadline</a>, "Definitely, it would be really fun to take a character or couple of characters from the first season and have them come into the third season. That&rsquo;s something I&rsquo;m trying to figure out.&rdquo;&nbsp;
And Jake Lacy and Alexandra Daddario, who played married couple Shane and Rachel, have already been made aware of this. Daddario previously&nbsp;told Deadline, &ldquo;Shane and I would be on a boat, talking about other people, annoying everyone around us.&rdquo;

While not much is known about the plot of the upcoming season, there are a few details that we already know. The <a href="https://variety.com/2021/tv/news/white-lotus-renewed-hbo-season-2-1235038559/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">second season</a> focuses on "a different group of vacationers as they jet to another White Lotus property and settle in temporarily amongst its inhabitants.&rdquo; And instead of <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/hawaiian-shirts-summer-trend" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Hawaii,</a> the visitors will be located in Sicily, <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/italian-summer-style-movies" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Italy</a>. The name of the show has also been changed to&nbsp;<a href="https://variety.com/2022/tv/news/white-lotus-season-2-first-footage-1235319149/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">The White Lotus: Sicily</a> to reflect this.&nbsp;
And looks like fans will get to see the real Sicily in the show because <a href="https://variety.com/2022/tv/news/white-lotus-season-2-first-footage-1235319149/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">filming</a> has been taking place in the city, specifically at the San Domenico Palace in Taormina.&nbsp;

The White Lotus Season 2 premieres on HBO on October 30.
