It's always disappointing when your favorite television series eventually comes to an end. But it's an even worse feeling when it's brought back for a revival, and it's nothing like the original. Reboots aren't always a letdown, but sometimes originals are meant to be left alone. Join L'OFFICIEL as we go back and revisit some of the tv show revivals you may have forgotten about.

The hit comedy series&nbsp;That '70s Show is a cult classic for many. To capitalize on the show's success, a new show called&nbsp;That '80s Show was released with an all-new cast. Due to low ratings, the series was canceled after 13 episodes. It should be noted that another revival is in the works called&nbsp;That '90s Show with the initial cast. <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/pop-culture/7-celebrities-with-twins" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Ashton Kutcher</a>, Mila Kunis, Topher Grace, and William Valderrama are all confirmed to be returning.

'That '80s Show'

The thrilling (and sometimes confusing) hit show&nbsp;<a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/film-tv/wildest-pretty-little-liars-plot-twists" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Pretty Little Liars</a> is currently on its second revival. While fans are loving the latest reboot&nbsp;Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin, they weren't that thrilled with its previous counterpart Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists.&nbsp;The Perfectionists followed life after the string of crimes that took place in Rosewood. Original characters Allyson DiLaurentis (Sasha Pieterse) and Mona Vanderwaal (Janel Parrish) are now educators at Beacon Heights University, a prestigious school in a new town. The show was canceled after one season.&nbsp;

'Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists'

This reboot broke a lot of hearts.&nbsp;Gilmore Girls is a beloved comfort series and has many loyal viewers. The original series ran for seven seasons, and it was announced in 2016 that the show would be getting a revival only on Netflix. The four-part series left fans with some closure but still confused. There's speculation about a new season of the series, but it has been almost five years, and nothing's been announced yet.

'Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life'

The&nbsp;Roseanne reboot went as quickly as it came. The show launched in 2017 with the original cast but was quickly canceled due to the lead actress Roseanne Barr's string of racist posts on Twitter. After a brief break, a spinoff was announced called&nbsp;The Conners&nbsp;with the same cast but with Barr cut out of the show completely.

The <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/film-tv/luis-gerardo-mendez-charlies-angels" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Charlie's Angels</a>&nbsp;franchise&nbsp;has had several film and television reboots. Each installment usually has a predominately female <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/film-tv/tanya-roberts-charlies-angels-actress-bond-girl-dies-at-age-65" target="_blank" rel="noopener">cast</a>, lots of action, and a killer wardrobe. However, this 2011 series remake was canceled after an eight-episode season. The show was ordered for 13 episodes but was canceled halfway through its air time.&nbsp;

'Charlie's Angels'

<a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/music/best-moments-2021-mtv-vmas-lil-nas-x-olivia-rodrigo-doja-cat" target="_blank" rel="noopener">MTV's</a> Punk'd&nbsp;was one of the top contributors to <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/gen-z-y2k-millennial-90s-fashion-nostalgia" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Y2K</a> culture. Known for pranking the biggest names in Hollywood, the show was brought back for a reboot in 2020 with Chance the Rapper as its host. However, the series run was short-lived due to its network Quibi shutting down completely. Roku bought the rights to the show but there has been no announcement about a new season yet.
