Russian designer Gosha Rubchinskiy will present his Fall 2018 collection in Russia, his third show to be presented in his home country. The show, set for January 14, will take place in Ekaterinburg, which lies in the Ural region of Russia. The designer chose this location as it is the fourth largest city in Russia. Rubchinskiy is also lined up to continue his collaboration with Adidas, which will run up until the World Cup, which will be held in the designer's home country in 2018—expect plenty of looks with the iconic three stripes.
Last year, the designer moved his show from the more popular Paris to the Russian enclave of Kaliningrad, bringing his clothes closer to their roots. His following show was presented in St. Petersburg, where his capsule for Burberry was unveiled. Two more collaborations are expected to be revealed around the time of his upcoming show, though he has not confirmed with which brands.
Given the Fall 2018's far-flung locale (at least in terms of the traditional cities), Rubchinskiy is likely to expect only the most die-hard of followers to attend. What better way to test an editor's interest or loyalty? It's worth noting that the average temparature in Ekaterinburg in January, which is when the Men's Fall shows are typically held, is only 7 degrees Fahrenheit.
