Jay Chou is Gaining Momentum
After being announced as a brand ambassador for Dior, the record label of the King of Mandopop and JR Yang has signed an agreement with Universal Music Greater China. After the release of the 2023 Christmas single entitled "Christmas Star," his latest projects also include the Jay Chou x PSG x Nobis collaboration.

The "King of Mandopop" Jay Chou unexpectedly surprised all his fans with the new release of the Christmas single entitled "Christmas Star." In previous weeks, Chou had announced that he would release his new song on social media, leaving fans abuzz with excitement. The song rose quickly up the music charts and received 2.91 million views on YouTube within 24 hours.
Partnership With Universal Music Greater China
Universal Music Greater China has signed a strategic partnership with the "King of Mandopop" and his record label JVR Music. The new deal secures global marketing and distribution rights for Chou's music catalog and into the future, supporting his label's emerging talent, including artists Patrick Brasca and Young (aka Cao Yang) through JVR.
In addition to having a bestselling album and widely successful films, the former L'OFFICIEL cover star—and recently appointed Dior Men brand ambassador—boasts a two-decade career that includes 15 studio albums, eight world tours, and 378 concerts in Asia, America, Europe, and Australia. The Taiwanese artist released the album Greatest Works of Art in 2022 which made him the first Mandarin artist to enter the top 10 of the IFPI Global Artist Chart and the first to reach the top of the IFPI Global Album Sales Chart with a total of 140 million views on Weibo. According to the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI), Chou recorded the highest number of album sales globally last year, becoming the first Mandopop artist ever to accomplish this feat.

JR Yang, co-founder together with Chou of JVR said that this new partnership marked a new chapter for the record label, aiming to elevate Mandarin pop music on a global level. The intent is to leverage Universal Music Greater China's global network to amplify Chou's artistic impact and artist diversity on a global scale.
Jay Chou x PSG x Nobis
Recently, Canadian outerwear brand Nobis presented Ace of Stade, a limited edition collection in collaboration with Chou and Paris Saint-Germain that blends football, music, and fashion. "Our collections are always designed with a specific objective: to combine fashion and functionality. Collaborating with PSG and Chou, each a master in their own field, is an exciting moment that we are delighted to share with the world,” explained Kevin Au-Yeung, president of Nobis. The collection includes the Ace All-Terrain Urban Shell Jacket and the Stade Insulated Mid-Layer which layers seamlessly over the Ace Shell.
Christie's and Enviseam Event
Together with ENVISEAM—in collaboration with L'OFFICIEL Art and AMTD IDEA—Chou hosted an exclusive VIP event to celebrate his collaboration with Christie's for this autumn's Post-Millennium Evening Sale. Known throughout the world for his skills as a singer-songwriter, pianist, music and film producer, actor, and director, Chou is also an art collector who has always paid attention to the world of art. Meticulously selected by Chou and Christie's Hong Kong, the latest auction showcased a selection of pioneering works created by globally recognized contemporary artists.
