Dubbed "grandpa-core" on <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/beauty/viral-tiktok-beauty-products-best-shopping-makeup-hair-skincare" target="_blank" rel="noopener">TikTok</a>, Twitter, and other online spaces, this style leans into sweater vests, colored <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/cardigan-fall-fashion-trend-billie-eilish-celebrity-style" target="_blank" rel="noopener">cardigans</a>, belted high-waisted trousers, and <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/shopping/best-penny-loafers-mens-shop" target="_blank" rel="noopener">loafers</a>, all of which were in abundance on the runways this season. While colored <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/shopping/sustainable-knitwear-fashion-shopping-cashmere-wool" target="_blank" rel="noopener">knitwear</a> is often a focus of the look, many brands leaned into neutrals this season, opting to layer beiges, browns, and white tones to create cozy, cohesive looks.&nbsp;

Designers showed off the cozy trend in a variety of styles, ranging from the tailored, contemporary faux fur coat on the <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/men/elliot-page-gucci-guilty-the-umbrella-academy-milan-fashion-week-mens-show" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Gucci</a> runway to the oversized, '70s-inspired piece by <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/cfda-fashion-awards-2020-nominees-designers" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Todd Snyder</a>. While the faux fur pieces were widely unique in color&mdash;exhibited in a myriad of neutrals, ranging from cool tan to honey brown, classic black, and <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/winter-color-trends-2023-nyfw-pfw-runways" target="_blank" rel="noopener">charcoal gray</a>&mdash;one thing the designers had in common this season was their penchant for the <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/saint-laurent-returns-to-marrakech-for-the-mens-spring-summer-2023-collection" target="_blank" rel="noopener">double-breasted coat</a>, a style seen across the runways.&nbsp;

<a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion-week/tods-fall-winter-2023-collection-runway-looks-photos" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Pinstripes</a>, wide awning stripes, and banker stripes were all in abundance on the men's Fall/Winter 2024 runways, appearing anywhere from a traditional tailored suit, &agrave; la <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/film-tv/giorgio-armani-michelle-yeoh-2023-academy-awards-pre-oscars-party" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Giorgio Armani</a> or Dolce &amp; Gabbana, to Gucci's sleek patent <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/leather-trench-coats-trend-fall-fashion" target="_blank" rel="noopener">leather trench coat</a>. While some looks utilized the pattern as a simple element of visual interest, others relied on stripes as a way to create texture, as seen on Fendi's shimmery gray top, where stripes were etched into the fabric, adding depth and dimension to the look.&nbsp;

It's no surprise that a plethora of <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/shopping/leather-dresses-black-leather-dress" target="_blank" rel="noopener">leather</a> was spotted on the runways this season, especially given the reputations of many participating fashion houses as masterful leatherworkers, but few were prepared for the ample amount of polished leather looks in particular. While some leather looks were finished with a simple, subtle sheen, others were polished to patent leather perfection. Sequins, metallics, and <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/beauty/glitter-makeup-beauty-trend-rihanna-gigi-hadid" target="_blank" rel="noopener">glitter</a> aren't just the internet's current microtrend&mdash;these eye-catching details are here to stay, according to the Fall/Winter 2024 runways. Ranging from Dolce &amp; Gabbana's maximalist embroidered <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/shopping/new-years-eve-party-dresses-shopping" target="_blank" rel="noopener">sequins</a> and shimmery beading to the subtle sheen of a glitter-woven suit on the <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/fendi-new-menswear-ambassadors-spring-summer-2024-campaign" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Fendi</a> runway, designers presented bold, glamourous looks and pared-back, minimalistic styles alike.&nbsp;

Dubbed the <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/shopping/cherry-red-color-trend-shopping-beauty-fashion" target="_blank" rel="noopener">It girl color</a> of last fall, <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/color-trends-spring-summer-2024-runways" target="_blank" rel="noopener">cherry red</a> was everywhere last season, making a statement on the runways, red carpets, and street-style moments, and this season, the bright, bold hue has made its way to <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/pharrell-williams-appointed-creative-director-louis-vuitton-menswear-virgil-abloh" target="_blank" rel="noopener">menswear</a>. Cherry red remained on top in terms of the sheer abundance in which it was seen, but burgundy and other adjacent red tones followed close behind, often seen utilized in sultry <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/ways-to-wear-silk-scarf-top-headscarf-trend" target="_blank" rel="noopener">silks</a> or luscious leathers.&nbsp;

Gender-Fluid Elements: Skirts, Dresses, and Tights

Designers like JW Anderson and <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/ss-daley-wins-2022-lvmh-prize-steven-stokey-daley-harry-styles-erl-winnie-new-york" target="_blank" rel="noopener">S.S. Daley</a> shook up the runways this season with the inclusion of pieces like skirts, dresses, and sheer <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/shopping/red-tights-shopping" target="_blank" rel="noopener">stockings</a>, creating dynamic looks by utilizing juxtapositions of texture, color, and forms in their respective styles.
