Tropical prints have invaded men's collections. From the urban explorer of Larusmiani, to the international playboy of Billionaire, to the bohemian artist of Missoni.

This year&rsquo;s big players are palm trees, tropical fauna and bright colors, sprouting all over shirts, T-shirts, duster coats, silk bomber jackets, shorts, and hats. An oasis of exotic motifs and botanical prints appear in Larusmiani&#39;s collection, where the setting of the presentation was inspired precisely by the world of nature. Earth-toned garments and clear references to the colonial style feature prominently in garments such as the Saharan jacket in Sea Island cotton, a Safari look designed for city adventures. Elegance is expressed with a sporty twist in a brand characterized by its strong sartorial heritage. In addition to the heritage pieces of formal jackets and trousers, leather trekking backpacks, leather sneakers and furlane, Botanicum bomber jacket in waterproof silk all appear in a tropical print variant. A breath of air leads to Miami Beach, a mix of kitsch, transgressive and Caribbean style in the imaginary meta setting of the Billionaire collection. A luxury-obsessed playboy (the jacket with the ingot motif is a clear message), dresses in a tuxedo with a shawl collar decorated with graphic floral patterns and silk shirts with flamingos and palms, which give a vibrant mood of summer excess and fun. Exotic fauna also star in coats of snakeskin and crocodile, combined with gold-adorned slippers.

A slightly neglected beard and smoky pipe in the self-portrait of 1846, Gustave Courbet (the painter of The Origin of the World ) became the symbol for what will be called the Bohemian movement, to define the existential choices of those who preferred art and career freedom, embracing not only a choice or a self-determined destiny, but an aesthetic attitude that over the years stood to gain a cult following. From the cursed poets to the expressionist painters, from the Beat generation to Serge Gainsbourg. The famous French singer-songwriter is, in fact, the figure that inspired Missoni for Spring 2020. Gainsbourg was an artist with a relaxed elegance, who wore tailored garments with haute de gamme sports inputs. A selection of double-breasted double lining in light summer wool and pinstriped or checkered-Prince of Wales fabrics adds lightness to the spread. Unstructured coats are designed using an exclusive dotted cotton twill fabric, and exotic and ethnic patterns also appear on trench coats and shirts. The belted trenches are made of very light knitted ikat fabrics or printed cotton canvas with a special aloe vera finish that gives the garment softness. The collection is completed by a refined selection of light knit chokers, with cardigans and maxi and floral jacquard polo shirts, inlays with argyle motifs, d&eacute;grad&eacute;s, and iconic Missoni over-dyed patchwork. Informally formal, spontaneous and unconventional. This is the exotic-elegant wardrobe of the 2020 man.
