Cardi B Teams Up with Bruno Mars for "Finesse" Remix
Cardi B is looking set to continue her radio domination by jumping on a remix of Bruno Mars's track "Finesse." Last night, the two dropped their new collaboration along with a music video that seriously channels all that was cheesy about the '90s —in typical Mars fashion, it's infectious and full of dancing.
The pairing, while at first odd, makes plenty of sense. For starters, they're both signed to Atlantic Records. Second, they both have a history of topping charts. Currently, Cardi B holds three spots in the top ten of Billboard's Hot 100: "MotorSport," "No Limit," and her debut single, "Bodak Yellow." Only a few weeks ago, she released her follow-up single, "Bartier Cardi," which should rise in no time. With "Finesse," Cardi crosses over into the Middle American mainstream, and Mars gains cred in urban markets. It's a win-win.
