With Coachella on the West Coast and Gov Ball on the East, it's impossible not to compare acts. Where are you headed this summer?

Released in the same 24-hour timeframe, Coachella and Governors Ball go head to head in their lineups, and for music lovers willing to go (fly) the extra mile, Coachella becomes the clear winner.

&nbsp;

For starters, the Indio, California-based Coachella boasts The Weeknd, Eminem, and Beyonce as headliners. The latter should come as no surprise as the announcement came last year. Originally, Beyonce was meant to headline the 2017 festival, but after her pregnancy announcement had to be replaced with Lady Gaga. Gov Ball, too, has announced Eminem as a headliner alongside Jack White (who has played the festival before), Travis Scott, and the Yeah Yeah Yeahs.

Coachella&rsquo;s second line of acts sees Tyler the Creator, Post Malone, SZA, Kygo, HAIM, Fleet Foxes, and plenty more. Cardi B and Migos are also billed, which means you can expect plenty of crossover in sets, and, if you&rsquo;re lucky, a Nicki Minaj cameo for &ldquo;Motorsport.&rdquo;

Though not as heavy in chart toppers, Gov Ball has always excelled in curating an impressive lineup of rising stars; 2018 will include Sylvan Esso, Maggie Rogers, Kelela, Billie Eilish, Kali Uchis, BROCKHAMPTON, and LANY.

If you had to pick one, surely Coachella will give you more bang for your buck, but it&rsquo;s also in the middle of the desert, which means lots of gas money and waiting in hour-long parking lines. If you want to skip the headache, skip on over to Randall&rsquo;s Island for Gov Ball.
