The star made a surprise announcement that 'Folklore: the Long Pond Studio Sessions' will debut today.

Swifties rejoice&mdash;<a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/pop%20culture/taylor-swift-gay-agenda-2019">Taylor Swift</a> is releasing filmed&nbsp;studio sessions for her album <a href="https://www.npr.org/2020/07/28/896193188/taylor-swift-folklore-critics-roundtable">Folklore</a>&nbsp;tonight on Disney+. The movie not only includes live versions of songs like &ldquo;Betty&rdquo; and &ldquo;<a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/cozy-oversized-cardigans-shopping">Cardigan</a>,&rdquo; but also conversations with Swift and her co-producers Aaron Dessner, the guitarist for the Nationals, and Jack Antonoff, frontman for Bleachers.

This morning, Swift announced the movie&rsquo;s release on social media. &ldquo;Well it&rsquo;s 11/24 and 24-11=13 so I&rsquo;ve got an announcement,&rdquo; she said referencing her longtime <a href="http://www.mtv.com/news/1610839/taylor-swift-explains-why-13-is-her-lucky-number/">connection</a> with the number 13. &ldquo;You haven&rsquo;t seen this film before [sic] folklore: the long pond studio sessions will be out tonight at midnight PST on <a href="https://twitter.com/disneyplus">@DisneyPlus</a>! <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/folkloreOnDisneyPlus?src=hashtag_click">#folkloreOnDisneyPlus</a>.&quot;

Swift dropped the album this past July, after a similar <a href="https://www.amny.com/news/taylor-swift-drops-surprise-album-folklore-and-first-single-on-july-24/">surprise announcement</a>. The record, which was met with significant <a href="https://pitchfork.com/reviews/albums/taylor-swift-folklore/">critical praise</a>, became Swift&rsquo;s seventh consecutive <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/2020/09/07/arts/music/taylor-swifts-folklore-billboard.html">number-one album</a> and broke the <a href="https://www.guinnessworldrecords.com/news/2020/7/taylor-swift-breaks-24-hour-streaming-record-on-spotify-for-8th-album-folklore-625253">Guinness World Record</a> for most streams in one day of any album by a female artist. In October, Folklore became the first album in 2020 to sell more than a million copies, while just last weekend she took home three titles at the <a href="https://variety.com/2020/music/news/taylor-swift-wins-three-american-music-awards-says-shes-mia-because-of-recording-all-of-my-old-music-1234837818/">American Music Awards</a>, breaking her own record as the person with the most AMAs.

In the trailer for Folklore: the Long Pond Studio Sessions, she mentions the importance of making this album in quarantine. She says, &ldquo;This could have been a time where I absolutely lost my mind, and, instead, I think this album was a real flotation device.&rdquo;
