The Wicked stars confirmed they&rsquo;ll reunite for a West End revival of Sunday in the Park with George.&nbsp;

After conquering the screen together, <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/pop-culture/ariana-grande-wicked-career-quitting-music-actor-roles-movies-upcoming-projects-tour" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Ariana Grande</a> and <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/film-tv/jonathan-bailey-dating-history-boyfriend-relationships" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Jonathan Bailey</a> are officially heading back to where it all began: the stage. The Wicked co-stars have confirmed they&rsquo;ll reunite for a highly anticipated West End revival of Sunday in the Park with George, marking a major moment for theater fans.&nbsp;
Speculation around the production had been quietly building for weeks, with early reports suggesting the revival was in development and eyeing a summer 2027 run at London&rsquo;s Barbican Theatre. On Wednesday, January 14, Grande and Bailey put the rumors to rest in the most art-school way possible&mdash;by posting a joint Instagram photo of the two seated at the Art Institute of Chicago, positioned directly in front of Georges Seurat&rsquo;s A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte, the pointillist masterpiece that inspired the musical.

Their caption, a subtle nod to one of the show&rsquo;s most famous lyrics, read simply: &ldquo;All it has to be is good.&rdquo; For fans of Stephen Sondheim, that single line was more than enough.&nbsp;
Written by Sondheim with a book by James Lapine, Sunday in the Park with George centers on the fictionalized life of Seurat as he becomes consumed by the creation of his defining work. The story examines the cost of artistic devotion; how the pursuit of brilliance can alienate the very people who inspire it, through the relationship between the painter and his lover and muse, Dot.
Bailey will take on the role of George, while Grande steps into Dot&rsquo;s shoes&mdash;roles famously originated on Broadway by Mandy Patinkin and Bernadette Peters in the original 1984 production.&nbsp;For Grande and Bailey, the reunion signals a return to their theatrical roots&mdash;and for audiences, it promises a revival that&rsquo;s already shaping up to be unforgettable.
