Police confirmed that the father of Rihanna's baby is facing charges for an incident back in November 2021.

<a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/men/asap-rocky-embraces-mens-nail-art-braids" target="_blank" rel="noopener">A$AP Rocky</a> was reportedly arrested at the Los Angeles Airport on Wednesday, April 20 in connection to a shooting that took place in November 2021 in Hollywood. 
According to <a href="https://www.tmz.com/2022/04/20/asap-rocky-arrested-lax-rihanna-pregnancy/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">TMZ</a>, witnesses say the artist flying on a private jet from&nbsp;Barbados to Los Angeles. When he departed the plane, he was detained and handcuffed. The rapper was returning from a trip with his girlfriend <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/why-rihanna-isnt-buying-maternity-clothes-pregnancy-baby" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Rihanna</a>, who is currently pregnant with the couple's first child.

LAPD confirmed the arrest and revealed that the "Plain Jane" artist is facing charges of assault with a deadly weapon. In a statement, police officers reported that the rapper fled after shooting and wounding a person during a disagreement.
The victim claims that, after an argument, the rapper shot him two or three times, causing an injury to his left hand. TMZ also reported that shortly after the airport arrest, police searched the soon-to-be father's mansion with a warrant.
This is not <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/pop-culture/rihanna-asap-rocky-relationship-timeline-dating-history" target="_blank" rel="noopener">A$AP's</a> first run-in with the law. Back in 2019, his arrest in Sweden took over the media as the United States government fought for his release.&nbsp;

The incident also follows last week's internet uproar over rumors that A$AP and Rihanna had broken up because the rapper <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/pop-culture/infamous-celebrity-cheating-scandals-relationships" target="_blank" rel="noopener">cheated</a> with show designer Amina Muaddi. Sources close to the couple denied the allegations, as did Muaddi, and the person who started the rumor ultimately issued a public apology.
