If it seems like nearly a decade ago that Cameron Dallas made a name for himself as a social media personally, well, that's because it is.

In 2012, 16-year-old Dallas started posting comedic videos to Vine; by 2014 he had accumulated 8.1 million followers on the video-sharing platform. A couple of movies (Neighbors 2 and The Outfield), a Netflix reality series (Chasing Cameron),and 21+ million Instagram followers later, and Dallas hasn't just made the transition from Internet celebrity to actor, he has pole-vaulted onto one of the most challenging mediums of all to tackle: the Broadway stage. In January of this year, Dallas took on the role of Aaron Samuels in Tina Fey's much lauded Mean Girls at New York City's August Wilson Theater

Then, after taking an extensive break from music, Dallas released a new song and video, entitled "Helpless."

"It's where I'm at right now. I talk about addiction and how I needed help, and I didn't like where I was, and there's this weird thing where I thought I was doomed to have a bad life, and there's where addiction led me. I went to rehab for 42 days," he says candidly. Helpless' is where I am now." After recently posting to his Instagram celebrating a year of sobriety, Dallas shares his biggest takeaway has been "Progress not perfection is key".

On tackling life in these unprecedented times, and what he is most looking forward to post quarantine, Dallas tells us "I’m spending this time at my house with my mom, grandma, and girlfriend. Our days usually consist of going to the park and playing board games. I’m so excited to get back to the movies."
