The Australian beauty was scouted on a trip to <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/travel-living/french-restaurants-nyc-dining-guide" target="_blank" rel="noopener">NYC</a> before enrolling in Sydney College in the '80s. First signed to Click Model Management in 1982, she was regarded as a "girl next door" figure throughout Australia. She appeared on five covers of Sports Illustrated: 1986, 1987, 1988, 1995, and 2006. The worldwide infatuation with Macpherson led to her nickname "The Body."&nbsp;In 1994, Elle Macpherson made her acting debut starring in&nbsp;Sirens as an artist's muse.
