The English singer and former One Direction heartthrob has reportedly split from Canadian actress and fashionista Taylor Russell.&nbsp;

Big news, <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/pop-culture/why-did-harry-styles-cut-his-hair-shaved-head-buzz-cut" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Harry Styles fans</a>: your favorite pop idol is officially single again. Shortly after hitting the first-anniversary mark with Taylor Russell, reports suggest that the duo has called it quits.&nbsp;&nbsp;
According to <a href="https://www.thesun.co.uk/tvandshowbiz/28010959/harry-styles-split-taylor-russell-japan/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">the Sun</a>, an insider source revealed that Styles and Russell "went through a rough patch after their trip to Japan and are taking some time apart." "Things have become strained recently though and they&rsquo;ve taken some time out," the source added.&nbsp;
While the couple had kept their romance relatively low-key, the news still came as a surprise, especially given their seemingly blissful moments together. Over the past year, they were often spotted hand-in-hand, exploring the world together. <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/pop-culture/harry-styles-taylor-russell-relationship-timeline" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Russell even showed her support for Styles during his Love On Tour</a>, making an appearance at his Vienna show.

It wasn't unusual that neither Styles nor Russell had never publicly commented on their relationship. Even when he was previously dating <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/kendall-jenner-best-bikini-pictures" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Kendall Jenner</a>, <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/camille-rowe-model-french-girl-style-instagram" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Camille Rowe</a>, and <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/pop-culture/harry-styles-olivia-wilde-relationship-timeline" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Olivia Wilde</a>, Styles maintained his privacy. In fact, in a 2022 interview with <a href="https://www.rollingstone.com/music/music-features/harry-styles-harrys-house-dont-worry-darling-my-policeman-cover-1397290/">Rolling Stone</a>, the "As It Was" singer said he never talked about my life away from work publicly and found that it's benefited me positively." "There's always going to be a version of a narrative, and I think I just decided I wasn't going to spend the time trying to correct it or redirect it in some way," the then 28-year-old singer added.&nbsp;
So, come the <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/met-gala-2024-red-carpet-celebrity-looks-fashion" target="_blank" rel="noopener">2024 Met Gala</a>, we were hoping that Styles would, at the very least, grace the red carpet with Russell, especially since Styles' <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/harry-styles-best-fashion-moments-albums-songs-music" target="_blank" rel="noopener">last attendance was in 2019</a>. Instead, Russell made her Met Gala debut solo, though she notably did stun in a wood-patterned halter corset and white slitted skirt by <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/art/loewe-craft-prize-2024-winner" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Loewe</a>. I guess now it all makes sense why she came alone.&nbsp;
Still, just because the two had broken up doesn&rsquo;t mean it was a failed relationship. The Sun&rsquo;s insider source also shared that &ldquo;They made a lovely couple, and it was obvious Taylor made Harry happy.&rdquo; So maybe the relationship just ran its course, or perhaps there&rsquo;s still some glimmer of hope for a reunion.
