A Complete Timeline of Khloé Kardashian and Tristan Thompson's Relationship

It can be really hard to keep up with Khloé Kardashian and Tristan Thompson's relationship status, given that the two have been on-and-off for the past few years. Their relationship has been filled with cheating scandal after cheating scandal...after cheating scandal. While the two are reportedly broken up, it was announced in July that they were expecting their second child together via surrogate. This past weekend, the complicated paring welcomed their baby boy.

The start of their relationship.
Khloé Kardashian and Tristan Thompson first spark dating rumors in August 2016 when TMZ shared photos of the two leaving a nightclub within minutes of eachother. By October of the same year, the two made it instagram official with a photo in coordinating costumes. And in December of 2016, Thompson welcomed his first child with ex Jordan Craig.
For the next year, their relationship continued on.
The two announce they are expecting their first child together.
In December 2017, Kardashian shares a black and white photo of her and Thompson's hands cradling her pregnant belly. The post begins, "My greatest dream realized! We are having a baby!"
Thompson cheats on Kardashian right before she's about to give birth.
In April of 2018, right before Kardashian was set to give birth to her first child, True, videos of Thompson hooking up with a woman began to surface. Viewers saw the scandal play out during Keeping Up with the Kardashians— including how the family reacted. At one point, in Khloé's delivery room (yes, she gave birth in the middle of the scandal), Kim Kardashian is seen making faces behind Thompson's back. That's a big sister for you, am I right?
However, it appears that the two stayed together even after his infidelity.
A few months later, Thompson cheats again.
In February of 2019, Thompson made cheating headlines again. But instead of doing it with someone random, he chose Kardashian's little sister's (Kylie Jenner) best friend Jordyn Woods. Confusing, right?
A few weeks later, Woods went on Red Table Talk to address the controversy, as it was receiving loads of social media attention.
The two reportedly break up due to the scandal.
The two spend time together in quarantine.
When the Coronavirus hit the U.S. in the beginning of 2020, Kardashian caught the virus, and chronicled her time in isolation on Keeping Up With the Kardashians. While quarantined away from True, Thompson helped with the parental duties.
Kardashian and Thompson have talks of a second baby.
In a Keeping Up With the Kardashians clip posted to YouTube at the beginning of 2021—meaning it was likely filmed in 2020— fans see Kardashian say she never envisioned herself only having one child. At one point she says, "True's getting older, and I just feel like it's now time to have another kid." Thompson then replies, "Yep. Mmhm. That's what I like to hear." Kardashian goes on to reveal she has already begun to freeze her eggs.
During the same season though, Kardashian was told that if she carried her next child, it would be a high-risk pregnancy. Surrogacy talks begin...
Kardashian throws Thompson a 30th birthday party.
On March 13 2021, Kardashian posted a birthday shoutout on Instagram for Thompson with the caption "The ones that are meant to be are the ones who go through everything that is designed to tear them apart and they come out even stronger than they were before." It was revealed during the first season of Hulu's The Kardashians that Khloé was the one who threw him a glitzy party.
But the two broke up again in June, only to get back together again in November.
In December, news breaks that Thompson might have fathered a child with another woman.
In December, pregnant Maralee Nichols sues Thompson for "pregnancy-related" costs. Thompson denies the claims at first, but later says that the "only possible date of conception" was on his birthday. And remember who threw him a birthday party— Kardashian.
The paternity is confirmed.
In early January, Thompson pens a public apology to Kardashian on his Instagram stories.
News breaks that Kardashian and Thompson are expecting baby #2 via surrogate.
On July 13, 2022, multiple outlets reported that the stars were expecting their second child together. According to People, "Khloe and Tristan are not back together and have not spoken since December outside of co-parenting matters."
Additionally, "The baby was conceived via surrogate before it was revealed to Khloe and the public that Thompson was having a baby with someone else in December."
