The announcement for her forthcoming Netflix show With Love, Meghan came a day after her unexpected comeback to social media.

A day after <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/tags/meghanmarkle">Meghan Markle</a> made <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/pop-culture/meghan-markle-cryptic-instagram-post-watch">her cryptic return to Instagram</a>, there's now a clear reason for why she came back now and what she&rsquo;s been up to: a new Netflix series.
The Duchess of Sussex returned to Instagram after a five-year hiatus to announce her new Netflix series, With Love, Meghan. The trailer reveals what appears to be a lifestyle and cooking show, showcasing Markle in the kitchen with friends and enjoying the garden of her California home. Among the familiar faces featured are Mindy Kaling and, naturally, her husband, <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/pop-culture/prince-harry-wants-meghan-markle-to-resume-her-acting-career">Prince Harry</a>.&nbsp; It will be available to stream starting January 15.
"I have been so excited to share this with you! I hope you love the show as much as I loved making it. Wishing you all a fantastic new year! Thanks to our amazing crew and the team @netflix. Beyond grateful for the support&mdash;and fun!" She penned in the caption of her announcement post before signing off with her usual, "As ever, Meghan."
The upcoming series is the fifth in the latest lineup of Netflix projects under her <a href="https://television.mxdwn.com/news/netflix-teams-with-prince-harry-and-meghan-markle-for-overall-deal/">$100 million deal with the streaming service</a>. Markle and Prince Harry have released four docuseries&rsquo; since they signed the deal in 2020, including Harry &amp; Meghan, which chronicles their love story; Heart of Invictus, spotlighting Prince Harry's Invictus Games; Polo, a sports-focused series; and Live to Lead, celebrating inspiring world leaders.
&ldquo;I&rsquo;ve always loved taking something pretty ordinary and elevating it,&rdquo; said Markle in the trailer. &ldquo;This is about connecting with friends, making new friends, and just learning.&rdquo; 
Markle's journey on social media has been a direct reflection of her evolving roles as a celebrity, actor, and royal. She deactivated her personal account in 2018, just weeks before marrying Prince Harry. In 2019, she and Harry launched a joint account but it became inactive by 2020 as the couple stepped back from their royal duties. Markle returned last March to announce her homeware and preserves company, American Riviera Orchard. (However, that page has remained quiet since its debut.) With the announcement of her latest venture, fans can prepare to get an even more intimate look into the Duchess of Sussex's life.
