One of television’s favorite celebrity couples has reportedly <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/pop-culture/olandria-carthen-nic-vansteenberghe-cutest-moments-couple-relationship-timeline-dating-fans-internet-backlash-controversy" target="_blank" rel="noopener">split</a>, according to new reports.

Carthen and Vansteenberghe met on&nbsp;Love Island USA Season 7, where they became a fan-favorite duo.&nbsp;
As one of pop culture’s favorite power couples, between edits, tweets, fan accounts, and more circulating online during their season, the pair's chemistry took viewers by storm, especially having been nothing but supportive toward one another throughout the season, with a handful of watchers touching on their golden retriever-like energy. During the season, Carthen noted the crucial role in mental health check-ins, boundaries with fans, and publicity being no small feat, but worth it. Now, they are choosing to step back amid busy schedules and distance, yet plan to remain close friends, aiming to always support one another, according to People.
Initially, their potential for—well, potential—piqued interest during a surprise Casa Amor, where the two were encouraged to find a second chance at love. That being said, it didn’t begin that way. Carthen at first did not allow herself to feel a spark out of respect for castmate Cierra Ortega, who was initially coupled with Vansteenberghe.
Sources also say that the success and longevity of their relationship was in part due to keeping their relationship offline and rather private, valuing each other more than outside input and speculation, especially after Carthen referred to her&nbsp;<a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/pop-culture/love-island-usa-season-7-couples-where-are-they-now-olandria-carthen-nic-vansteenberghe-chelley-ace-iris-tj-breakups-pr-relationships" target="_blank" rel="noopener">relationship</a> with Vansteenberghe as “the best decision I could have ever made,” also adding “it made my whole experience way better.”&nbsp;
