Who is Nicholas Alexander Chavez? Meet Hollywood's Newest Heartthrob
The actor is booked and busy thanks to famous director Ryan Murphy.
The internet loves to buzz over Hollywood's newest, shiniest, and hottest actors and worship their every move. Jacob Elordi and Paul Mescal are just a couple of names on a long list of actors who have captured the public’s attention in this specific manner. While their impressive acting skills deserve recognition, the conversation often centers around their incredible good looks. The newest man the internet has taken a liking to? Nicholas Alexander Chavez. But who is he, and where did he come from?
The actor has seemingly popped out of thin air, starring in two of the hottest shows right now: Netflix's Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story and FX's Grotesquerie. What do both of these shows have in common? Both were created by none other than Ryan Murphy. Murphy is known for his works in TV series including Scream Queens, American Horror Story, and Glee. Murphy has turned a handful of actors and actresses into stars, and it's clear Chavez is the next star on his list.
In Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story, Chavez shows that he is more than worthy of the role as he plays the incredibly complex character of Lyle Menendez. Throughout the show, Chavez depicts the depth of the very troubled and abused son of Kitty and Jose Menendez. Alongside Cooper Koch, the two impressively play the infamous brothers.
It's clear Chavez has a knack for playing dark, complex characters. In Grotesquerie, he plays a priest with unusual urges and dark secrets. When murders with religious undertones occur in his town, his church becomes invested in the search for the killer, and Chavez's character finds himself fighting his own desires and urges.
Before stepping into these dark, intense roles, Chavez began his acting career with General Hospital, playing Spencer Cassadine from 2021 to 2024, a role which won him the Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Younger Performer in a Drama Series. He made his film debut in the 2022 movie Crushed. However, many fans recognized him from his earlier days on TikTok, where he went by "Nickthrice" and shared videos of himself performing various acting prompts.
With his filmography being so fresh, we're expecting to see much more of Chavez, especially after these two breakout roles for the actor.
