Dior Men's Fall 2020 Show
Miami's Art Basel 2019 festivities kicked off yesterday with none other than a Dior fashion show. Kim Jones, the artistic director of Dior Men, presented his Fall 2020 collection at the brand-new Rubell Museum in Allapattah. Kate Moss, Bella Hadid, and Kim Kardashian all sat front row to support the designer as he dropped not one but two special collaborations. Jones teamed up with Shawn Stüssy, who took over the Dior logo for a series of graffiti-inspired prints, and also debuted a new pair of Air Jordans alongside Nike.
If Dior hasn’t convinced you that Art Basel Miami Beach 2019 may in fact be Fashion Week, Wednesday night's festivities may persuade you. Valentino kicked off the evening with Colby Mugrabi, feteing the brand's collaboration with American artist Emilio Villalba, who created a limited edition series of ten hand painted Valentino Garavani VSLING Bags. Fendi celebrated their new scented Baguette the same night, with Gucci and Snap hosted a rollicking party with performance by Iggy Pop and unveiling of a new work by Harmony Korine. Alessandro Michele, Jared Leto, and Sienna Miller, were all in attendance. Last but not least, designer Daniel Lee celebrated the new Bottega Veneta store by taking over an old-school diner for a one night only bash.
