Korean artist and sculptor, Lee Ufan, released a new installation on May 4 at the Dia: Beacon Spring Benefit. The event was a celebration of the second annual partnership between the London-based fashion brand COS and the Dia Art Foundation. Notable guests included actresses and actor Glenn Close, Jessica Joffe, Christina Ricci, and Zachary Quinto, all wearing pastel-colored pieces from COS.

Ufan was a pioneer of the Mono-ha movement in Japan, an art movement that explores the relationship between natural and industrial materials. He garnered attention in the 1960s for his minimal but thought-provoking work. His exhibits at the Dia Art Foundation are supported by COS and the Samsung Foundation of Culture. His new installation is available to the public at Dia: Beacon at 3 Beekman Street for two years. It features five large works including three of the previous works that he renamed to&nbsp;Relatum.

The event was a continuation of the Dia Art Foundation&#39;s notion of&nbsp;sharing&nbsp;and preserving&nbsp;works by notable artists. COS also continued that theme through their brand&rsquo;s mission, which is to constantly seek inspiration from the art world for their fashion collections.

Guests were invited to a morning reception held in the Flavin Gallery, followed by a seated lunch accompanied by&nbsp;remarks from the Nathalie de Gunzburg, the Chairman of Dia&rsquo;s Board of Trustees, and Director Jessica Morgan. Following lunch, the event flowed into the forecourt where guests mingled and sipped on specialty cocktails. The event was so intentional, there was even a children&rsquo;s program in the Richard Serra area in the gallery. Throughout the day, guests were welcome to wander the halls of the gallery to view pieces on display.&nbsp;
