Luxury Group by Marriot International and the world-renowned auction house Sotheby’s have collaborated to create a truly groundbreaking and luxurious partnership, "Iconic Pieces. Exceptional Experiences," a partnership that will provide VIPs with many new experiences over time.  

This first-of-its-kind collaboration blends the world of luxury travel with the exclusivity of Sotheby’s renowned auction house, offering a range of extraordinary curated experiences. This clever partnership marks the first time Sotheby's has offered an experience for auction, and we are ready to place our bid.

The Luxury Group, which boasts a portfolio of prestigious hotels like The Ritz-Carlton, St. Regis, and Bvlgari Hotels & Resorts, showcased exclusive travel itineraries for Sotheby’s global clientele. These offerings reflect the artistry and elegance seen in Sotheby’s Luxury Sales, providing guests with one-of-a-kind experiences that fuse the worlds of art, fashion, jewelry, and more.

From September 5-19, the group auctioned off two unforgettable experiences. The first collaboration is "Whiskey Reverie: Presented by The Ritz-Carlton," a luxury whiskey journey that takes guests from New York City to Tennessee. This luxurious experience starts off at The Ritz-Carlton New York, NoMad, and will experience a culinary adventure in the private dining room at The Bazaar by José Andrés. To elevate the evening, guests will be joined by whiskey luminary Fawn Weaver, founder of Uncle Nearest and New York Times bestselling author of Love & Whiskey, for an unforgettable exploration of the craft.

From there, guests will be taken to Tennessee with a beautiful stay at The Joseph Hotel, with a personalized tour and experience of the Nearest Green Distillery, exploring the world of Whiskey.

If Whiskey isn't your thing, no worries, Luxury Group and Sotheby's created a second experience for guests to bid on. For fashion enthusiasts, "Alexander McQueen Discovery: Presented by Edition" offers a deep dive into the life and work of the visionary designer. This London tour includes private Victoria & Albert Museum access and a personalized photography session by renowned artist Ann Ray. Capturing the intimate essence of her subjects through a unique fusion of artistry and emotion, this exclusive experience also includes a luxurious two-night stay in a suite at The London Edition, a beacon of style in the heart of the city.

Guests will indulge in a five-course dinner for two at Berners Tavern, helmed by Michelin-starred Chef Jason Atherton, a favorite among the fashion elite. The dinner will be complemented by a wine pairing that celebrates Alexander McQueen's most iconic years.
