For Cruise 2019, the versatile Dior Book Tote bag&nbsp;sports a new&nbsp;embroidered&nbsp;toile de Jouy motif. &nbsp;

The beige and blue canvas tote, which was crafted in a traditional Italian family-run atelier, was inspired by a toile de Jouy that adorned the walls of the&nbsp;founding couturier&rsquo;s first boutique since 1947.

Inspired by that very toile de Jouy, Dior&rsquo;s artistic director Maria Grazia Chiuri modernized the print of pastoral scenes with a series of wild animals&mdash;tigers, monkeys, lions, and serpents&mdash;living together in the heart of the forest.

And&mdash;get this&mdash;each Dior Book Tote in Toile de Jouy requires over forty-two hours of embroidery and a whopping 1,600,000 stitches.
