Kylie Cosmetics Relaunches with New Clean Formulas
Kylie Jenner has revamped her makeup line with new formulations that cater to the growing demand for clean beauty products.
When Kylie Jenner launched her namesake beauty brand Kylie Cosmetics back in 2015 with an abbreviated selection of lipsticks, fans eager to get a pout like the reality star's sold out the website within minutes. Six years later and with an even larger base of devoted customers, the makeup label relaunched its full-scale line of cosmetics with new "clean and vegan" formulas.
In early May, the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star erased the brand's archive of Instagram posts, teasing fans with the promise of something big on the horizon. Last month, Jenner revealed that the upcoming Kylie Cosmetics drop would be a complete packaging and ingredients overhaul.
According to the brand, the products are now vegan, gluten-free, cruelty-free, and paraben-free. Kylie Cosmetics will also now be available in stores around the world, a fact that likely prompted the new clean formulas that exceed the standards required by the U.S., Canada, and the E.U. The line includes 37 lip kits, 30 high glosses, 32 matte liquid lipsticks, 15 gel eyeliners, nine lip liners, nine powder blushes, eight highlighters, six pressed bronzing powders, six eyebrow pencils, six eyebrow pomades, four lip blushes, and various tools and accessories. The refreshed Kylie Lip Kit also promises eight-hour wear for a long-lasting pop of color in your post-mask makeup looks.
Eyeshadows, creme lipsticks, and concealers, which had both been previously available on the site, have been taken down. However, Jenner promises there is more to come from her revamped makeup line.
To coincide with the relaunch, Jenner began a three-part Youtube series titled "Inside Kylie Cosmetics" where she peels back the layers on how she's built her business into a multi-million dollar beauty empire. In the finale episode, she teases her upcoming project Kylie Baby, inspired by and in collaboration with her daughter Stormi Webster.
