After years of virality, I finally tried the celebrity-favorite Korean skincare device.&nbsp;

Achieving glass skin is something I&rsquo;ve spent years perfecting through trial and error. I haven&rsquo;t looked back since. Of course, as a beauty writer, I&rsquo;ll swap a few things here and there when I fall for new launches. But for the most part, my routine has stayed the same. As someone whose TikTok feed is 90 percent beauty reviews and makeup tutorials, the brand, especially its skincare devices, shows up at least once a week. It&rsquo;s even become a go-to runway prep tool for brands like <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion-week/monse-spring-summer-2026-collection-runway-images">Monse</a>. And whenever an A-list celebrity joins Khlo&eacute; Kardashian and Kylie Jenner on the growing list of fans, the frequency spikes even higher. So when the queen of glazed, dewy skin herself, Hailey Bieber, used the original Booster device in a <a href="https://www.tiktok.com/@haileybieber/video/7254976943169260843?lang=en" target="_blank" rel="noopener">get-ready-with-me video</a>, the algorithm made sure I didn&rsquo;t miss it.

Still, I never felt the urge to cave. For one, it&rsquo;s not really a secret that <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/beauty/celebrity-facial-spots-joanna-czech-kardashians-kate-sommerville">celebrities have access to the top dermatologists and aestheticians</a>. Plus, Bieber&rsquo;s skin always looks flawless thanks to her consistency and, of course, genetics.&nbsp;
More importantly, skincare shopping has always felt like a bigger gamble than makeup. If a <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/beauty/chanel-glitter-lipstick-shop">lipstick</a> underwhelms, it&rsquo;s usually salvageable (unless the pigment or color payoff is entirely off). But with skincare, the stakes are much higher: inefficacy is one thing, but trying something new can quickly spiral into acne flare-ups or eczema patches. Even with my generally resilient skin, I still carry the emotional trauma of high school breakouts. And when it comes to pricey skincare devices that claim to mimic in-office treatments, I&rsquo;m extra cautious. Instead, just a few days into using it, I realized something unexpected: the <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/beauty/glass-skin-guide">glass skin</a> I thought I had mastered two years ago was actually only surface-level, temporary. The Medicube Booster Pro delivered a deeper glow&mdash;one that felt like radiance from within.

<h2 style="text-align: center;">Medicube Booster Pro Review: Airshot Mode</h2>

Back when Medicube&rsquo;s skincare devices were sold as standalone tools, I had mostly considered the ATS Air Shot. Since my biggest concerns have always been pores and blackheads, it felt like the most relevant option. The Airshot works by creating temporary microchannels in the skin to enhance product absorption, exfoliate dead skin cells, refine pores, and smooth the overall texture (read: it helps clear out clogged pores, allowing the rest of your skincare routine to penetrate deeper and work more effectively).
With the new Booster Pro, the Airshot mode lived up to those promises and more. Within the first week, my blackheads appeared to have reduced, and my skin felt less congested. By week four, my pores looked noticeably smaller and clearer, and even the darker, more stubborn blackheads had faded. They didn&rsquo;t vanish entirely, but there was definitely a big improvement.
My skincare also absorbed faster&mdash;I could tell because I stuck to my usual routine, and usually I&rsquo;d need to apply it hours before bed to avoid residue transferring onto my pillow. With the Booster Pro, my skin seemed to drink it up almost instantly.
The sensation does take some getting used to: it feels like tiny needle pricks across the skin, with a faint burning smell reminiscent of microneedling. It&rsquo;s not painful or overly uncomfortable, though, as long as you start with the lowest setting, stick to 2&ndash;3 uses per week, and increase intensity gradually. That said, if you're planning to use exfoliating acids&mdash;like AHAs, BHAs, or glycolic acid&mdash;I'd recommend starting with lower concentrations in the first few weeks of using the Airshot mode, especially if your skin is on the sensitive side or if you&rsquo;re not used to in-office treatments.

The Airshot and Booster modes work in tandem: Airshot creates microchannels to exfoliate and prepare the skin, while Booster utilizes gentle electroporation to deliver skincare ingredients deeper into the skin barrier. The result? A longer-lasting radiance and glow that feels like it comes from within.
The Booster mode also lived up to its promises. Within the first few days, my skin looked noticeably brighter, fresher, and more luminous&mdash;not just the temporary glow you get right after applying skincare, but a longer-lasting, more sustained radiance. Products also seemed to absorb and penetrate more effectively, amplifying the results of my usual routine.
As for the sensation, it feels like a series of small, consistent vibrations. There&rsquo;s no pain, tingling, or discomfort, just a gentle pulse as the device works across the skin.

<h2 style="text-align: center;">Medicube Booster Pro Review: Microcurrent Mode</h2>

The Microcurrent mode, on the other hand, stimulates facial muscles and collagen production to enhance skin volume and smooth deep and fine lines. After using it consistently, my skin looks noticeably bouncier and healthier&mdash;a welcome effect considering my collagen has likely been reduced from frequent tanning and the stress of grad school and full-time work.
I also applied it to my neck to address tech neck. After a month, the lines appear slightly less deep. It&rsquo;s not a dramatic change yet, but since I&rsquo;ve only been using lower frequencies, I&rsquo;m excited to see how much improvement comes with higher settings and longer-term use.
Being in my early 20s, I&rsquo;m not the target demographic for concerns like fine lines, wrinkles, or sagging. But I have noticed that it has smoothed some of the smaller lines I&rsquo;ve developed around my eyes from sun exposure and lack of sleep.

Finally, the Dermashot mode uses Electrical Muscle Stimulation (EMS) technology to improve skin elasticity, strengthen and tone facial muscles, reduce sagging and wrinkles, and enhance facial contouring.&nbsp;
I was surprised by how much it made a difference. After using it consistently, my skin feels plumper, more glass-like, youthful, and generally tighter. Even my double-chin area looks firmer. It&rsquo;s certainly not a dramatic, instant-contour fix like the NuFACE Trinity, but over time, it really emphasizes natural angles in my cheeks, neck, and collarbones. I can&rsquo;t personally speak to fine lines or sagging since again, those aren&rsquo;t my concerns just yet, but the subtle sculpting is noticeable.
You&rsquo;re supposed to move it slowly across the skin to get the contouring right. The little pulses can feel a bit intense&mdash;more like tiny taps than actual pain&mdash;but honestly, it&rsquo;s worth it for the results.

As a skincare device skeptic, it takes a lot for me to say this, but the Medicube Booster is definitely worth the price. There are numerous at-home devices available that cost more and don&rsquo;t even perform half of what this one does.
It does take a little time, and sticking to the routine can be challenging when you&rsquo;re already busy&mdash;but it&rsquo;s worth the effort. I&rsquo;ve noticed a real difference in plumpness and pore clarity, and honestly, the gentle vibrations on each setting feel relaxing, almost like a mini destress-and-reset moment after a long day. Still, it won&rsquo;t work if you&rsquo;re not consistent, so it&rsquo;s really best for people who don&rsquo;t have the time or budget for regular facials and multiple skin treatments.
Of course, it&rsquo;s not a replacement for injectables, chemical peels, or microneedling if you need more drastic solutions for aging, acne, or other skin concerns. For me, it&rsquo;s been a maintenance tool that enhances my overall skin health in a gentler, more gradual way.
That said, I&rsquo;ll definitely be keeping it in my routine. My skin now has that true glass-skin appearance that doesn&rsquo;t just disappear once I&rsquo;ve cleansed my face. I&rsquo;ve even received compliments on how much healthier it looks&mdash;even though I already have relatively good skin, aside from occasional pores, blackheads, and texture issues from eczema flare-ups.
