YSL Beauty has announced its new initiative, Rewild Our Earth, in partnership with global NGO Re:wild, an organization that strives to protect and restore biodiversity in over 66 countries, as well as to advance ecological restoration across the world. Through this new partnership, YSL Beauty is setting out to “make progressive efforts to enable natural processes, repair damaged ecosystems and restores degraded landscapes.”

For the year 2022, the collaboration aims to focus on areas where YSL Beauty’s ingredients come from, such as The Ourika Valley in Morrocco, Haiti, Madagascar, and Indonesia. The initiative’s greater goals, however, are to restore and protect 100,000 hectares throughout areas where YSL Beauty sources its ingredients by 2030.

Rewild Our Earth is working in concert with the brand's Change the Rules, Change the Future sustainability initiative, furthering the brand’s commitment to a more sustainable future.
