Marc Jacobs&rsquo; Fall 2025 Ready-to-Wear collection finds beauty in the exaggerated interpretation of the Victorian past.&nbsp;

Closing out Pride Month with an aura of theatrical romanticism, <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/marc-jacobs-erotic-memorable-runway-looks-90s">Marc Jacobs</a> staged his Fall 2025 collection at the New York Public Library&mdash;a venue as grand as the looks it housed. Known for reimagining archetypes through a delightfully playful lens, Jacobs turned to the Victorian era this season, filtering it through his signature love of drama, proportion, and doll-like muses.&nbsp;
The show notes were spare but telling: &ldquo;Beauty. A quality or combination of qualities that gives pleasure to the mind or senses and is often associated with properties such as harmony of form or color, proportion, and authenticity.&rdquo;&nbsp;
There was no single dominant color on the runway, which featured only 19 ready-to-wear ensembles. Rather, there was a palette of soft pastels and muted hues that blended seamlessly. Proportion was also a unifying thread. Nearly every look featured exaggerated silhouettes, whether through puffed sleeves, <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/shopping/bubble-skirts-balloon-trend">ballooned skirts</a>, or billowing bodices. Volume was the language here, spoken fluently.&nbsp;
The Victorian references were clear: bustles added historic heft, shoulders were structured yet sculptural, and bows&mdash;the collection&rsquo;s common denominator&mdash;tied everything together both literally and figuratively. Subtle floral details appeared on a few looks, including one worn by model <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/pop-culture/alex-consani-funniest-moments-watch">Alex Consani</a>, softening the otherwise dramatic silhouettes. <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/shopping/polka-dot-trend-unique-going-out-tops-shopping">Polka dots</a>, an on-trend motif this season, also made a playful appearance, punctuating the collection with whimsy.&nbsp;
Still, nothing felt heavy. For all its grandness, there was a lightness to the collection&mdash;bubbly, soft, and unmistakably feminine. This was Victorian revival as only Marc Jacobs could do: deeply referential but never costume-like, polished yet peculiar, and above all, a pleasure to the senses.&nbsp;
It was grandeur. It was beauty. It was Marc Jacobs.&nbsp;
