In January 2024, the fashion world witnessed a significant leadership change at luxury house Moschino, as <a href="https://preview.lofficielusa.com/fashion/adrian-appiolaza-carla-sozzani-moschino-interview" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Adrian Appiolaza</a> was appointed the new creative director. The appointment came after a period of unprecedented upheaval for the brand, which was rocked by the death of <a href="https://preview.lofficielusa.com/fashion/moschino-creative-director-davide-renne-dead" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Davide Renne</a> in November 2023. Renne, who had been handpicked to lead Moschino after Jeremy Scott&rsquo;s exit in March 2023, passed away before his first collection could be presented, leaving the brand in a delicate position.

Adrian Appiolaza is from Argentina.

The designer was born and raised in Argentina. Born in 1972, he grew up in Buenos Aires and was very close to his grandmother, who owned a tailoring business, where Appiolaza learned about the world of clothes and tailoring.&nbsp;

Adrian Appiolaza moved to England in his twenties.

Many may think Appiolaza moved to the UK to pursue his love for fashion; however, it was music that led him to England. He grew an appreciation for the Manchester music scene and has been in love with it ever since.&nbsp;

Appiolaza studied fashion design at Central Saint Martins.&nbsp;

Although music was what led Appiolaza to England, he enrolled in school to pursue fashion design with print.&nbsp;

One of Appiolaza's first fashion gigs was with Alexander McQueen.&nbsp;

While studying fashion in school, Appiolaza was able to land a&nbsp;junior design position for&nbsp;Alexander McQueen&nbsp;and Miguel Adrover.&nbsp;

Phoebe Philo helped launch Appiolaza's career.&nbsp;

It wasn't until Phoebe Philo saw Appiolaza's potential from his graduate collection while finishing school. From there, the praise from Philo gave him the opportunity to work for Chlo&eacute;.&nbsp;

Appiolaza worked on looks from Beyonc&eacute;'s Renaissance World Tour.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Appiolaza worked on some iconic looks, including those from Beyonc&eacute;'s Renaissance tour, with Jonathan Anderson.&nbsp;

From Chlo&eacute; to Loewe, Appiolaza has done it all.&nbsp;

After Philo saw his potential, he worked with <a href="https://preview.lofficielusa.com/fashion/boho-style-celebrities-wearing-chloe" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Chlo&eacute;</a> until he moved to Miu Miu in 2006, working under Miuccia Prada. He then moved to Louis Vuitton in 2010 as senior designer under Marc Jacobs. A brief return to Chlo&eacute; in 2012 as Clare Waight Keller&rsquo;s design director preceded his transition to <a href="https://preview.lofficielusa.com/fashion-week/loewe-mens-spring-summer-2025-fashion-show-review-images" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Loewe</a> in 2014.
