Red carpet premiere dressing has undergone a significant overhaul in the past year, and Anya Taylor-Joy is coming through on the trend. While celebrities typically show up to red carpet premieres of their latest films in a chic gown or a sharp tuxedo, stars have embraced the opportunity to channel their characters in the most extravagant, luxurious designs available to them. Often, celebrities have used all their contacts in the fashion world to secure rare, one-of-a-kind designer pieces straight from the luxury archives

While celebrities like Zendaya and Sydney Sweeney have been lauded for their unique premiere fashion takes, Anya Taylor-Joy is rising among the ranks of those pulling out all the stops on the red carpets of the press tour.

Kicking off a series of fabulous fashion moments on the Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga press tour, Taylor-Joy stepped onto the red carpet of the Australian premiere of the film sporting a stunning gilded vintage couture look. The golden chainmail dress, crafted with hundreds of individual metallic links, was a standout piece from the Paco Rabanne spring 1996 haute couture collection. The unique archival look also featured several golden spears protruding from the dress, exuding the spirit of a warrior straight out of battle—an energy perfectly befitting Taylor-Joy's character.

At the photocall and press conference for the film in Mexico City, Taylor-Joy donned a white leather jacket and skirt set—a look complete with several metallic rings and white leather straps, marking the outfit as an edgier style in line with the film's aesthetic. Between the statement shoulders of the jacket and the plethora of zippers seen throughout the look, even the most pared-back of Taylor-Joy's press tour looks falls right in line with her character's energy.

Just a short time later in Mexico City, Taylor-Joy once again sported the battle armor befitting the young warrior, Furiosa—of course, rather than a scrapped-together war suit, Taylor-Joy wore a custom Balmain minidress. The metallic look featured several melded floral embellishments that started on the star's shoulders and trailed down the dress.

For the next stop on the Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga press tour, the cast was spotted in downtown Los Angeles on May 8 in a dystopian chariot, straight out of the chaotic world of the film. For this press appearance, Taylor-Joy embraced an edgier aesthetic with a leather minidress from Acne Studios' Fall/Winter 2024 collection. The actress' simple, but effortlessly chic look was accentuated by silver jewelry—and lots of it, the star wore a chunky bangle, several rings, and simple silver hoops—a sleek high ponytail, and a striking red lip.

While Taylor-Joy has pulled out all the stops for the Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga press tour so far, fans are expecting the actress to sport her most extravagant look at the Cannes Film Festival on May 15, where the film is set to premiere.
