For her first-ever auction capsule, goldsmith Kindred Lubeck presents three hand-engraved, one-of-a-kind gemstone rings for Sotheby&rsquo;s Gem Drop.&nbsp;

Artifex is officially entering the auction world. The fine jewelry label, founded and led by goldsmith Kindred Lubeck, is debuting its first auction capsule with <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/sothebys-high-jewelry-sale-new-york-june-2025" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Sotheby&rsquo;s</a> this month&mdash;an ultra-limited trio of one-of-a-kind rings that merge heritage stones with modern craftsmanship. The pieces will appear in Sotheby&rsquo;s Gem Drop Auction beginning today, November 10, through November 13.
Each ring features a statement stone sourced by Jogani&mdash;an antique 4-carat old mine diamond, an 8-carat cognac old mine diamond, and a vivid 5-carat blue sapphire&mdash;with each one set in gold and carved by Lubeck&rsquo;s hand-engraving technique. While collectors live for rarity in scale and cut alone, Lubeck&rsquo;s signature approach is what elevates the capsule from impressive to collectible: the engraving leaves a permanent mark of the maker on each jewel.&nbsp;

The collaboration also reflects how <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/art/sothebys-keith-haring-rare-subway-art-auction" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Sotheby&rsquo;s </a>Gem Drop is evolving the look of auction jewelry. The monthly digital release has become a destination for white diamonds, vivid gemstones, colored diamonds, and singular designs&mdash;without buyer&rsquo;s premium&mdash;which is part of why it has become a draw for both new collectors and seasoned high jewelry buyers seeking competitive access.
This capsule marks the beginning of a longer creative relationship: two additional Artifex rings, one featuring a 5.14-carat Internally Flawless D-color diamond and another with a 2-carat orange-pink diamond, will be offered at Sotheby&rsquo;s High Jewelry sale on December 9.&nbsp;
