Schiaparelli’s Haute Couture Spring/Summer 2025 show in Paris was a masterclass in opulence and artistry, where the house’s legacy of surrealist elegance met contemporary innovation. Per usual, Creative Director Daniel Roseberry delivered a collection that both honored Schiaparelli’s history and boldly pushed the boundaries of couture. The collection homed in on Parisian sophistication, with Roseberry’s designs playing with proportions, textures, and couture craftsmanship in ways that left the audience captivated. At its most profound level, the collection challenged current notions of sartorial modernity while taking inspiration from prewar ribbons Roseberry found in an antique shop. Celebrities outside the show flocked to the Petit Palais in Paris for his grand reveal.
Each celebrity turned heads in their own right when it came to street style outside the show, as guests made their way inside decked out in Schiaparelli pieces (and almost always carrying the label's $7,100 Anatomy Jewelry face bag). Front row members like Regina King radiated timeless glamour via a sleek, cream suit. Gabrielle Union joined wearing a sheer-paneled gown with stilettos. Others like Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu went bold, yet classic in an all-black look that consisted of a velour cape over a deep-cut gown. Anna Wintour ditched the clear-cut and surrealist French couture house's codes for a brightly colored, floor-length jacket over a printed dress with her signature bob and nearly opaque sunglasses.
Kelly Rutherford, Léna Mahfouf, and Carla Bruni also made their mark, with their respective ensembles reflecting a different facet of Schiaparelli’s enduring allure. The highly-anticipated show also marked a milestone moment with Alex Consani’s Schiaparelli runway debut, (and of course, she brought her showstopping walk to the to the iconic house’s runway).
