Coach Joins the WNBA Roster in Style-Focused Partnership
The American fashion house has signed on as the WNBA’s official handbag partner, blending luxury and sport in a multiyear collaboration.
Coach is officially stepping onto the basketball court. Monday morning, the American fashion house announced a new multiyear partnership with the WNBA, becoming the league’s official handbag partner in a first-of-its-kind move that brings luxury fashion and sports even closer.
To kick off the partnership, Coach is showing its support at the WNBA Draft 2025 to be hosted April 14 at The Shed in New York City, presenting the Orange Carpet experience for the league’s new stars. But the brand’s involvement runs deeper than just these surface-level appearances: Coach is teaming up with five WNBA prospects—including Paige Bueckers, Hailey Van Lith, Aneesah Morrow, Kiki Iriafen, and Sonia Citron—to amplify their personal style as they step into the spotlight as both athletes and new fashion figures.
Coach will also take on the role of presenting partner for WNBA Pride, the league’s LGBTQ+ initiative, as well as the 2025 WNBA All-Star Game in Indianapolis, continuing to merge fashion with fandom at one of the season’s most significant events.
“The WNBA sits at the intersection of sport and lifestyle and has always championed players to translate what they do on the court into their own personal style off the court,” said WNBA Chief Growth Officer Colie Edison in a press release. “We look forward to joining forces with Coach to inspire fans everywhere to embrace individuality, especially around some of our most anticipated tentpole moments."
In an era where tunnel fits and sponsorships matter as much as stat lines, Coach and the WNBA are getting ready to rewrite the rules—one bag at a time.
