The Fall/Winter 2022 season was a game changer. As the first in-person Fall/Winter show season since the industry-wide pandemic shutdown, critics and fashion fanatics alike were eager to see the designer's work in action. Pierpaolo Piccioli certainly made a case for the Barbiecore trend with his coveted hot pink collection already taking over street style and red carpets alike. Chanel also tapped into its feminine side opening with a muted rose tweed trench coat, followed by pink dresses, jackets, and of course bags. Now, Pantone has declared Viva Magenta as the 2023 Color of the Year, proving that pink is certainly having its moment right now.
Opening the Fall/Winter 2022 season in New York, Proenza Schouler seized the opportunity to highlight a bright blue blazer. And more recently, Marc Jacobs advocated for the vibrant cool tone featuring a leather dress and matching bonnet in an equally shocking electric blue.
