Giorgio Armani Launches New Book to Celebrate the Brand's 40th Anniversary
The designer recounts memories of his early life, his lifetime of work, and his passion for fashion in Per Amore.
Fashion connoisseurs are in for a treat. In honor of his namesake brand's 40th anniversary, Giorgio Armani is releasing Per Amore, an accumulation of memories and stories from the long history of the brand published by Rizzoli.
Today, readers worldwide will be able to get their hands on a copy and learn about the ins and outs of Giorgio Armani — his work, his life, and his passions. Per Amore, a reconstruction of an illustrated autobiography published in 2015, begins with the story of Armani's early years and takes readers through the course of his life through to the present day. The fashion designer wishes to inspire with his words and reveal his true self to his fans, while simultaneously presenting the Armani we all know and love.
“I chose a title that is both soft and provocative, which is surprisingly representative of my character. I am pragmatic and rational, but my actions all come from the heart. That is why the scattered thoughts collected in this book are written ‘out of love,’” said Armani.
Alongside his brilliantly written stories are never-before-seen images that help to visualize a more intimate version of Armani. He writes special anecdotes about the intricacies of his work in Milan, his childhood, and other personal encounters that have shaped him into the man he is today. Readers can expect a profound examination into the world of Armani and how fashion and culture have shaped the Maison's unique perspective.
