A glimpse into Sabato De Sarno’s Gucci is unveiled in an upcoming documentary titled Who is Sabato De Sarno? A Gucci Story. The 20-minute film, directed by Ariel Schulman and Henry Joost, offers a behind-the-scenes look at the creation of the Gucci Ancora show, which marked the debut of the house's new creative director, Sabato De Sarno. The short documentary is narrated by actor and brand ambassador Paul Mescal and takes viewers on a unique journey into the heart of Gucci.
The film delves into the creative vision De Sarno held for the inaugural collection and reveals never-before-seen footage, allowing viewers to understand De Sarno from a different point of view. In the film, the creative director reiterates the importance of teamwork, thus having the film showcase the collaborative efforts of De Sarno and his dedicated team.
Born in Naples, the 40-year-old De Sarno has a rich professional history that includes positions at renowned fashion houses such as Dolce & Gabbana, Prada, and was even known as Pier Paolo Piccioli's right-hand man at Valentino, which made his debut at Gucci all the more anticipated.

The luxury brand will host screenings in major cities worldwide, allowing audiences to experience the short film on the big screen. Starting April 3, an enhanced edition of the film will be exclusively available on Apple Vision Pro, offering viewers the chance to experience the enhanced beauty and artistry behind Gucci Ancora. And, in collaboration with Air France, Gucci will make Who is Sabato De Sarno? A Gucci Story accessible on all flights throughout April.
