An upcoming documentary by noted filmmaker Lo&iuml;c Prigent's pays tribute to the fashion icon.

Calling Jean Paul Gaultier&rsquo;s final runway showing over the top would be an understatement. The Spring/Summer 2020 Haute Couture event, which served as the designer&rsquo;s bow from the runway, was the grandest of exits, and now it&rsquo;s eternalized in film.

Inside Jean-Paul Gaultier's Last Couture Show

This weekend, French documentary filmmaker Lo&iuml;c Prigent will release&nbsp;Jean Paul Gaultier se d&eacute;file!, a 52-minute film offering a behind the scenes look at the creation and presentation of the designer&rsquo;s <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/jean-paul-gaultier-final-couture-show-dita-von-teese">final catwalk</a>. Gaultier&mdash;most commonly called fashion&rsquo;s enfant terrible&mdash;has long been known for his love of experimentation, breaking the rules, and defying gender boundaries. The announcement that his January 2020 show would be the last in his 50-year career was perhaps his greatest surprise.

Prigent has been posting <a href="https://www.instagram.com/p/CFhmveKIMXY/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link">snippets</a> of this footage on his Instagram account in anticipation of its debut September 26. In one, the filmmaker catches an iconic moment: Gaultier has spotted Anna Wintour leaving his show venue. Prigent quotes the designer in his caption: saying &ldquo;She who doesn&#39;t love me at all has come! How nice!&rdquo;
