<p>The five-day event's lineup was announced by the British Fashion Council on Monday.</p>

<p>If you thought that fashion was about ready to take a break, think again. The London Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2027 schedule is here and promises some great moments. The British Fashion Council released the provisional calendar for the upcoming event, which will unite legendary houses and young talents for the five-day occasion.</p>
<p>From Thursday, September 17 to Monday, the 21, an astonishing 102 happenings will take place via the catwalk, presentations, showcases, appointments, screenings, digital experiences, and exclusive events. Like many other fashion weeks, LFW is sure to bring some star power to England and the United Kingdom's capital while highlighting the season's latest offerings.</p>
<p>"This season marks an exciting moment for London Fashion Week, with the return of leading British brands alongside an exceptional new generation of creative talent," said BFC Chief Executive Laura Weir in the announcement. "The schedule reflects the confidence and momentum of British fashion today, bringing together established houses, emerging designers and industry partners on a platform that continues to shape global fashion. Together, they reaffirm London's position as the global home of creativity and a catalyst for innovation, opportunity and growth."</p>
<p>What is poised to be another incredible fashion month, those who follow fashion should be ready to embark on the journey that is LFW. To lay the groundwork in this effort, here's what you need to know ahead of the LFW Spring/Summer 2027 schedule.</p>

<h2>LFW Spring/Summer 2027: Returning Favorites</h2>

<p>For this season, a set of iconic British designers who have held a stronghold for LFW will return. They include Barbour, Burberry, Emilia Wickstead, Erdem, Harris Reed, Richard Quinn, Roksanda, and Simone Rocha, all eager to present their latest collections.</p>
<p>But we can't forget the rising talents that have made the spectacle special with their distinct perspectives and tastes. Aaron Esh, Ashley Williams, Chopova Lowena, KNWLS, and Paolo Carzana lead the forefront of this group.&nbsp;</p>
<p>After two successful shows, H&amp;M will return with photographer Nick Knight on Thursday, September 17 at 8 p.m. Fashion East and Birmingham City University also make their grand return this season, honing in on BFC's mission to support incoming talent with its resources.</p>
<p>When the former creative director of McQueen, Sarah Burton, presented her Spring/Summer 2023 collection at LFW, the house decided to switch gears and head south to Paris Fashion Week. However, for this season, Seán McGirr will make his London debut on Sunday, September 20 at 8 p.m, which has become one of the most anticipated shows for LFW.</p>

<h2>LFW Spring/Summer 2027: Newcomers and Debuts</h2>

<p>Back in March, Scottish fashion designer Christopher Kane was announced as Mulberry's creative director. After the saddening closing of his eponymous label in 2023, the talent is returning to LFW to present his debut collection for the brand. Naturally, this event will be one to watch.</p>
<p>To support its emerging talent, a great selection of labels will make their LFW debut in September. Names include British menswear brand Geordie Campbell, definition of new-wave femininity Joyce Bao, Indian label Lovebirds, and bright demi-couture name Onalaja, amongst others.</p>
<p>Marks &amp; Spencer, a British multinational retailer powerhouse, is also joining in on the LFW fun with a special runway collection. To celebrate its centenary year in the fashion space, the brand will make its exclusive debut with a showcase of womenswear and menswear, all of which will be a part of a "see now, buy now" format.</p>

<h2>LFW Spring/Summer 2027: Immersive Experiences</h2>

<p>In this upcoming spectacle, storytelling through cultural events, installations, and exhibitions will be prominent throughout LFW. Notably, J.L-A.L will present its Spring/Summer 2027 collection in an immersive presentation before hosting an afterparty celebrating its collaboration with Puma.</p>
<p>American designer Taylor Thompson, known for his label 5000, will present a unique experience for his latest collection. As the Paul Smith Foundation designer-in-residence, the brand's latest offerings will be unveiled through an immersive sound bath, creating an experience where fashion, art, and music come together.</p>
<p>Other immersive experiences include A.V. Vattev, Aya Design, NU, Pindiga Ranjith Kumar, and Wenyin Jiang, alongside others. Through high-leverage experiences, the ways of considering how we consume collections will be redefined, and one will walk away with a new perspective that they hadn't considered.</p>

<h2>LFW Spring/Summer 2027: BFC NewGen</h2>

<p>Ever since its launch in 1993, the BFC's NewGen program has supported emerging talent on a global scale. From Alexander McQueen, Jonathan Anderson, and Kim Jones to Chet Lo, Conner Ives, and Tolu Coker, the 33-year-old initiative has produced incredible talents that have contributed massively to the industry at large.</p>
<p>As recipients of the BFC NewGen 2026 in partnership with PULL&amp;BEAR, Francesca Lake, Gui Rosa, and Petra Fagerström will make their debuts this season. Returning to LFW are Charlie Constantinou, E.W.Usie, Liza Keane, Octi, Oscar Ouyang, Pauline Dujancourt, The Ouze, and Yaku, all a part of this year's cohort.</p>

<h2>LFW Spring/Summer 2027: Prominent Absences</h2>

<p>Although greats like McQueen and Mulberry are back on the calendar this season, some other British talents are missing from the upcoming showing. Chinese-born, London-based designer Huishan Zhang had just shown during Fall/Winter 2026. However, the label wasn't present on the schedule.</p>
<p>Just last season, Julien Macdonald made his grand return to LFW with a maximalist-forward collection. Yet, the British fashion designer was also missing from this season's lineup. Not only do their absences leave many wondering what is next for them, but also what is on the horizon for these talents.</p>
<p>Regardless of the decision as to why they didn't show this season, Zhang and Macdonald's absence will be felt during LFW.</p>
