The renowned Italian designer has stepped into the house's storied legacy as its next Chief Creative Officer.

After Silvia Venturini Fendi exited her longtime role at the helm of Fendi at the end of September 2025, the industry instantly felt a void open at one of the largest, most influential houses in the fashion world. Just weeks later, on Oct. 14, the label announced that Maria Grazia Chiuri stepped into the role, where she will shape the artistic future of Fendi and honor its longstanding legacy in sartorial excellence.&nbsp;
For Chiuri, an Italian homecoming seemed to be a long time in the making. After nine years leading womenswear, haute couture, and accessories at Dior, Chiuri stepped down in May 2025. Though there was plenty of speculation from industry insiders on where the designer would land next, her arrival at Fendi marks a full circle moment for Chiuri&mdash;after all, she did spend the early days of her career there back in 1989.&nbsp;
&ldquo;I return to Fendi with honour and joy, having had the privilege of beginning my career under the guidance of the House&rsquo;s founders, the five sisters. Fendi has always been a forge of talents and a starting point for many creatives in the industry, thanks to the extraordinary ability of these five women to foster and nurture generations of vision and skill. I am grateful to Mr. Arnault for entrusting me with the task of helping to write a new chapter in the history of this extraordinary women-founded company,&rdquo; Chiuri, Fendi's new Chief Creative Officer, said in a release.&nbsp;
Just a few short months away, in February 2026, Chiuri will present her debut collection for Fendi in Milan as part of the Fall/Winter 2026 season.&nbsp;
