Mugler Spring/Summer 2025: Reimagining the Flower
The collection reflects a moment of renewal for the House, a true ode to Mugler's inner strength, depth of beauty and unwavering strength of character.
As the House of Mugler celebrates its 50th anniversary, Creative Director Casey Cadwallader embarks on a path of celebration and reflection, allowing his vision and the codes of the House to intertwine once again. Mugler's archives become fertile ground for reinterpretation not least with the flower, historically a source of inspiration for fashion, but reimagined here in the language of contemporary Mugler. The references to flora are an ode to Paris and the history of couture, but also tell a personal story—that of the springs and summers Cadwallader spent gardening at his country home in Fontainebleau. There are light stems, undulating petals, pointed fingers on gardening gloves, and elements that fuse the natural world with elements of science fiction or technology. The flower is not worn, but embodied, the architecture of the body working in tandem with layers of fabric and corsetry.
