Prada Partners with Aspen Art Museum to Launch New Outdoor Installation
Prada took a group of distinguished guests to the Colorado mountains to debut its latest mountain-themed outdoor collection.
For the second installation in Prada's four-part outdoor series, the brand joined forces with the Aspen Art Museum to premiere its Prada Outdoor Mountain pop-up. Constructed in the Rocky Mountain valleys in Aspen, Colorado, the activation features a hiking camp surrounded by lush terrain and open skies.
To kick off the launch, Prada invited guests like Co-Chairs Mrs. Jamie Tisch, Mrs. Amy Phelan, Mr. and Mrs. Domenico De Sole, artists Mary Weatherford and Precious Okoyomon, and more to enjoy a hike to Pine Creek Cookhouse. There, the group was treated to a culinary show courtesy of Spiral Theory Test Kitchen.
In accordance with Prada's partnership with the Aspen Art Museum, the fashion house signed on as a supporter of the 2021 ArtCrush festival. As one of the biggest art events of the year, ArtCrush offers a week of talks, performances, showings, and various activities as guests can meet and see new works from up-and-coming artistic talents.
Prada's ongoing Outdoor activations also include in-store installations at that transition among specific environments—Garden, Coast, Mountain, and Snow—and showcase the label's themed collections perfect for whatever adventure awaits. Highlights of the capsules include Prada's Re-Nylon pieces that are inspired by utilitarian silhouettes and a bevy of sporty accessories like backpacks, frisbees, sleeping bags, and more. Previously hosted at Prada's New York Broadway and Los Angeles Beverly Hills locations, Prada Outdoor Mountain is now in Aspen through September 7, 2021.
