The artist's multidisciplinary platform and creative agency Saint Heron highlights six designers and finalists for the 2021 International Woolmark Prize.

Singer-songwriter, actress, and performance artist <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/music/solange-cover-story-interview-2019" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Solange Knowles</a> uses her creative prowess to uplift up-and-coming artists with her new film, "Passage." Directed by MacArthur Award-winning director Wu Tsang, "Passage" celebrates the six fashion designers who are finalists for the <a href="https://www.woolmarkprize.com/iwp2021-final/">2021 International Woolmark Prize</a>.&nbsp;
Previously awarded to legendary designers <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/female-founded-fashion-houses-coco-chanel-chloe-lanvin" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Donna Karan</a>, <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/ralph-lauren-spring-summer-2021" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Ralph Lauren</a>, and <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/saint-laurent-fall-winter-2021-collection-anthony-vaccarello" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Yves Saint Laurent</a>, the International Woolmark Prize recognizes the talent of rising fashion designers. Collections from this year's finalists&mdash;Bethany Williams, Casablanca, <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/designers-to-know-nigeria-arise-fashion-week-naomi-campbell-kenneth-ize" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Kenneth Ize</a>, LeCavalier, Matty Bovan, and <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/lvmh-prize-winner-2019" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Thebe Magugu</a>&mdash;are featured in "Passage."

&ldquo;In continuing <a href="https://saintheron.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Saint Heron</a>&rsquo;s world making practice, 'Passage' further explores my interest in theatrical production through the translation of identity, spirit, philosophy and creation," said Knowles. "Whether it be through album artwork, stage design, or filmmaking, I've always sought to create new visual languages that encompass the expressions my other works cannot communicate. I&rsquo;m inspired to expand these processes through the Saint Heron Agency with a wider scope of collaborations and projects."
The immersive film utilises a dizzying score, abstract imagery, and interpretive dance to illustrate the artistic quality of the designers' collections. Compelling performances from five-time Grammy winner Dionne Warwick, alongside actress Dominique Jackson and musicians SahBabii, Joi, and KeiyaA, meld seamlessly with Tsang's deft directing and Ib Kamara's clever styling for an otherwordly film experience.&nbsp;

"To reflect on and honor the creative process with the 2021 International Woolmark Prize finalists, 'Passage' aligns with Saint Heron&rsquo;s mission to reverence creation as life, from abstraction to being," said Knowles. "I&rsquo;ve been a longtime fan of Wu Tsang&rsquo;s work and to be able to work alongside her, the Saint Heron team, and all of the incredible artists and designers in the film, really fortifies the ethos of collaboration and communal creative exchange that we wish to continue to embody.&rdquo;
