Tyra Banks doesn’t mess around. The model and TV personality has established successful and long-running careers for herself in both the fashion and entertainment industries, as well as made history along the way. Banks became the first African American woman to be featured alone on the covers of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue and GQ, as well as hosted America’s Next Top Model for 22 seasons and The Tyra Banks Show. Banks also starred in several films, including Life-Size with Lindsay Lohan and Coyote Ugly. Currently, she serves as a co-host on the hit dance show Dancing With The Stars.
When she wasn’t on the runway or on screen, Banks wrote Modelland, a novel loosely inspired by her own modeling experience; the book became a New York Times Best Seller in 2011.
