10 Upcoming Destination Fashion Shows to Look Forward To

As travel restrictions ease up, luxury brands are jumping back into old habits as they jet off across the world to unveil their upcoming collections.

Two years ago, a myriad of travel bans, closing borders, and overall safety concerns, forced the fashion industry to come to a halt. All the expected extravagant runway expeditions from Malibu, California to Kyoto, Japan were put on hold and somewhat expected to never return. Instead, celebrities, fashion editors and many others of the industry attended fashion shows virtually, letting us wonder when and if, we will ever return to “normality."

However, as restrictions begin to be lifted here and there, a few luxury giants have returned to hosting grand international events, think Gucci’s “Love Parade” show on Los Angeles’ Hollywood Boulevard in November last year, Louis Vuitton’s menswear show in Miami last December, an extravagant event honoring the late Virgil Abloh or even more recently, Jacquemus’s latest show in Hawaii. These most recent activations have created among brands the desire to push for that extra “wow” factor, the one that expands beyond what traditional runways can offer.

As we continue to move towards a more "open" world, here are the upcoming destination shows to keep on your radar.
