All the Best Movies Coming in 2022

Film buffs are already looking ahead to next year's slated list of new movie releases. We have to say, we're pretty excited too. 2022 is going to be jam-packed with a long list of must-see flicks. Though filming was inevitably slowed down over the past couple years, it seems that filmmakers are back in the saddle and churning out great new films. 

From the looks of it, the superhero film franchise craze isn't nearing its end. Next year will see the release of several big ticket items from both Marvel and DC. Most exciting is Robert Pattinson's turn as The Batman, already promising to be a dark and moody reprisal of the role. Top Gun is getting a sequel after 30 years, with Tom Cruise returning to play the titular character. The movie was pushed back time and time again during the pandemic, but will finally make its way to theaters next May. 

Early 2000s favorites Scream and Legally Blonde are also getting follow-ups, as it seems actors and audiences alike are dying to join the Y2K revival currently taking over media and fashion. Later in the year, a new film from director Jordan Peele is coming, titled Nope, as well as Olivia Wilde's second directorial endeavor, Don't Worry Darling, starring Florence Pugh and Harry Styles.
