A rushed Season 3 finale skips over big moments, abandons major arcs, and leaves fans wondering what happened to their favorite characters.

When <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/boring-and-just-like-that-season-3-press-tour-looks-2025-satc-fashion-legacy" target="_blank" rel="noopener">And Just Like That</a> brought its third season to a close, it didn&rsquo;t end with the cathartic group moment many viewers expected. The finale was unusually short, and it showed. In under forty minutes, it bounced between characters and subplots without giving any of them the time or weight they needed, leaving much of the season&rsquo;s setup unresolved or forgotten entirely.
Charlotte&rsquo;s return to the gallery world, built up all season as a major career milestone, barely registered in the episode. She did get moments with Harry, reconnecting after his prostate cancer diagnosis, and with Rock, embracing their identity more openly. But Lily&rsquo;s music arc was absent, and nothing in the finale suggested the iconic gallery girl's professional move would be long-term. Miranda&rsquo;s storyline was equally compressed. Her relationship with Joy was reaffirmed during Thanksgiving, and she and Steve accepted their new role as grandparents-to-be. Though the pregnancy news came from Brady, in a reveal that was random, underdeveloped, and immediately dropped.
Carrie&rsquo;s story, always a centerpiece of the <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/best-fashion-moments-from-sex-and-the-city-hbo-max-reboot" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Sex and the City</a> universe, ended with no romantic resolution: Aidan gone, Big long gone, and no new relationship introduced. Even Duncan, a new acquaintance turned romantic interest, who seemed primed to become part of her orbit, vanished without explanation. Her final dance alone might have been intended as a statement of independence, but without the surrounding arcs converging, it read more like the show simply running out of runway.
Lisa&rsquo;s pregnancy was glossed over in a single line, with her documentary, co-producer relationship, and local arts involvement all forgotten. Seema learned her new boyfriend never wanted to get married, yet this disappeared just as fast as it had appeared, and her once-vibrant career was ignored entirely. Anthony and Giuseppe seemingly ended their relationship, but it was entirely unclear. Che, once elevated to a central role in the series, did not appear, and Nya&rsquo;s dating journey, Herbert&rsquo;s political ambitions, and Duncan&rsquo;s fate were all left dangling.
The finale didn&rsquo;t just leave storylines unresolved; it left the season without a true ending. Scenes skimmed by without payoff, characters disappeared without explanation, and promising arcs were dropped in favor of abrupt cutaways. For a show built on decades of character investment, that absence wasn&rsquo;t bold or unconventional; it was careless. The last image of Carrie alone could have been a resonant closing note, but surrounded by unfinished business, it felt less like a deliberate choice and more like the moment the story stopped. What lingered wasn&rsquo;t the image of her dancing alone, but the long list of plots that never made it to their own final scene.
