Everything to Know About the 2022 Critics Choice Awards

As the Omicron variant swarms across the nation, causing a spike in cases of COVID-19, the Critics Choice Association made the executive decision to postpone the 27th annual Critics Choice Awards from January 9.

After talks with the CW, TBS, and LA County Public Health officials, the Critics Choice Association decided that postponing the event would be the best decision to protect the health and safety for all attendees and all involved with the production of the show. 

As of now, a new date for the event has not been scheduled, but the Critics Association has promised to keep the public, collegaues, and entertainment industry officials updated on any further changes. Unlike the Golden Globes, which will not be televised this year, the Critics Choice Awards will air on CW and TBS when it is rescheduled.

This year's nominees highlighted a variety of 2021's best films, such as West Side Story and Spencer, as well as some of our favorite performances as well, such as Lady Gaga in House of Gucci.
