Dakota Johnson Opens Up About Being Nearly Nude on Set
Dakota Johnson has previously complained about the extreme exposure of her body in films.
Dakota Johnson returns to work with Netflix's The Lost Daughter in one of the most anticipated drama films of 2020. In the project, she plays Nina, a role that requires her to be semi-nude quite often. While she's no stranger to shooting nude scenes for her films, the actress recently revealed that she still hasn't gotten used to it, especially after the excessive experience in the 50 Shades of Grey franchise.
In an interview with W Magazine, Johnson opened up about the situation and how showing her body became an exhausting task. "It's difficult. Some days I don't want to take my clothes off on set. Just because I look a certain way doesn't mean I don't have feelings. And my character, Nina, is almost uncomfortable with her appearance. She's reached a point in her life where her beauty doesn't match who she is," the star said.
In previous chat with Elle, Johnson said, "I was raised to respect myself and feel comfortable and confident. I've always admired that in other women, I've always been attracted to those who never cared about what others think. I was also raised in an environment where it's more important to be interesting than beautiful."
