From heartthrob to the king of rock and roll, Jacob Elordi has transformed into a myriad of different characters. Here are his upcoming roles, set to take the big screen by storm.&nbsp;

<a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/film-tv/frankenstein-movie-2025-cast-plot-trailers-release-dates-jacob-elordi-oscar-isaac" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Jacob Elordi</a> first rose to popularity in 2018 when he portrayed Noah Flynn in Netflix&rsquo;s Kissing Booth film series, but this role was just a soft launch into Elordi&rsquo;s acting abilities. His success rapidly grew, and by 2019, he was portraying Nate Jacobs, a complicated yet handsome villain in the hit drama series Euphoria. In both films and television series, Elordi played a high school student, but by 2023, he had transitioned to more mature roles and became everyone's celebrity crush.&nbsp;
In Sean Price Williams&rsquo; film The Sweet East, Elordi played the leading role and experienced his first Cannes Film Festival debut.&nbsp;That same year, he portrayed one of his most talked-about roles, Elvis, in Sofia Coppola&rsquo;s&nbsp;Priscilla, a performance that is oftentimes favored over Austin Butler&rsquo;s portrayal in the Elvis biopic.&nbsp;One of his most tragic characters, Felix Catton in Emerald Fennell&rsquo;s Saltburn, left audiences mourning for the heart of the fictional lover boy.&nbsp;
Guillermo Del Toro&rsquo;s <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/film-tv/frankenstein-movie-2025-cast-plot-trailers-release-dates-jacob-elordi-oscar-isaac" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Frankenstein</a> made its Netflix debut on November 7, and Elordi&rsquo;s portrayal of the creature is all the buzz on social media. Elordi physically and mentally shapeshifted for the role, allowing audiences to really understand the story&rsquo;s complex grappling with morality. These are just some of Elordi&rsquo;s breakout roles, but here are his upcoming projects that are set to showcase even more of the actor&rsquo;s depth.&nbsp;

<h2>Euphoria Season 3</h2>

Season 2 of Euphoria left off with Elordi&rsquo;s character, Nate Jacobs, turning in his father for sex crimes. Before confronting his father about his illegal sex tapes, Nate decided to end his complicated and emotional relationship with Sydney Sweeney&rsquo;s character, Cassie. Elordi will return as Nate for Season 3, which is expected to be released in spring 2026 and is predicted to start with a time jump, moving the characters beyond high school. This means Elordi will be portraying a more mature version of Nate, one that has (hopefully) moved past his misogynistic and violent tendencies. Elordi has also hinted that for Nate, Season 3 is liberating and showcases a more freeing side of the character as a whole.&nbsp;

<h2>Wuthering Heights</h2>

One of the most anticipated movies of the new year is Emerald&nbsp;Fennell&rsquo;s&nbsp;adaptation of Wuthering Heights, the 1847 novel by Emily Bront&euml;, which is set to be released in theaters&nbsp;on February 13. Elordi will play Heathcliff, a tortured antihero who feels an indescribable love for a woman he can never have, also known as Catherine Earnshaw, played by Margo Robbie. His controversial casting has left lovers of the novel anxious to see his portrayal of the character who created yearning in the first place. The film has also received some backlash before its release due to the soundtrack being entirely composed of new Charli XCX music, which has left many concerned about upholding the integrity of the beloved story.&nbsp;

<h2>The Dog Stars</h2>

In this post-apocalyptic thriller directed by Ridley Scott, Elordi stars as Hig,&nbsp;the protagonist of&nbsp;The Dog Stars, a civilian pilot. This will be Elordi&rsquo;s second film adaptation role of the year since this movie is a re-telling of the 2012 Peter Heller novel The Dog Stars. The story is set after a deadly pandemic that wiped out most of humanity and American society. It follows Elordi&rsquo;s character as he navigates the post-apocalyptic world on an abandoned airbase with his dog and an ex-Marine with whom he&rsquo;s forced to get along.&nbsp;

Jacob Elordi and Lily-Rose Depp are teaming up for Outer Dark, a haunting new adaptation of Cormac McCarthy&rsquo;s 1968 novel. Set to film in 2026, the project marks the English-language debut of Son of Saul director L&aacute;szl&oacute; Nemes, whose atmospheric style feels tailor-made for McCarthy&rsquo;s bleak Appalachian tale. Described as a &ldquo;dark fairytale,&rdquo; the story follows a young woman searching for the infant her brother left to die&mdash;unaware he lied about the child&rsquo;s fate. As the estranged siblings move separately through the rural South during the Great Depression, they become shadowed by three mysterious, violent figures who leave devastation in their wake. With two of Hollywood&rsquo;s most magnetic rising stars at the helm and a revered auteur behind the camera, Outer Dark is already shaping up to be one of the most anticipated literary adaptations on the horizon.&nbsp;
