The evening was dedicated to honoring the power of contemporary filmmaking.&nbsp;

On Nov. 12, designers, filmmakers, artists, models, tastemakers, and more gathered at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City for the institution's annual <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/film-tv/sofia-coppola-2025-moma-film-benefit" target="_blank" rel="noopener">film benefit</a>. This year, the evening honored <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/film-tv/kirsten-dunst-sofia-coppola-new-film-details" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Sofia Coppola</a>, acclaimed director and filmmaker, for her artistic contributions to the filmmaking community.&nbsp;
For the event, the legendary creator was joined by her family, including her daughters, Romy Mars and Cosima Mars, her husband Thomas Mars, and her brother, Roman Coppola. Plus, representing the extended Coppola family, Jason Schwartzman made an appearance.&nbsp;

Attendees at the event, presented by Chanel, included Rose Byrne, <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/film-tv/nicholas-hoult-elle-fanning-interview-renfield-nosferatu-the-great" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Elle Fanning</a>, Josh Hartnett, David Letterman, Bill Murray, Lupita Nyong'o, <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion-week/anna-sui-fall-winter-2025-review" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Anna Sui</a>, Ava Dash, Anna Weyant, Olivia Wilde, and Larry Gagosian, among others.&nbsp;
Proceeds from the benefit went towards the institution's film department, which manages educational material, curated exhibits, and studies on MoMA's enormous collection library.&nbsp;&nbsp;
&ldquo;Developing long-term relationships with artists is one of the profound privileges and responsibilities for an institution like MoMA. Sofia Coppola has been a part of the Museum's artist family since her emergence as an acclaimed director over 25 years ago,&rdquo; said Rajendra Roy, MoMA&rsquo;s Celeste Bartos Chief Curator of Film, in a release. &ldquo;We celebrated her in 2004 as a part of our Work in Progress series, and we are thrilled to welcome her back now as a field-leading icon.&rdquo;
