Eagle-eyed viewers also noticed some serious parallels linking Belly and Conrad during their respective dance rehearsal scenes. Both seemed preoccupied&mdash;with secret, lingering yearning, perhaps?&mdash;much to the chagrin of their friends.&nbsp;
Belly also finally found out that Conrad was the one who convinced her mother, Laurel, to yield and come to her ring before spring wedding, which resulted in a tense conversation between the two. In between <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/film-tv/the-summer-i-turned-pretty-rain-spencer-season-2-love-triangles" target="_blank" rel="noopener">love triangle moments</a>, Laurel and John continue their will-they-won't-they dynamic, and Taylor and Lucinda have a major fight over the phone.&nbsp;
To the tune of Ariana Grande's "we can't be friends," viewers see a montage of romantic moments between Belly and Conrad through our leading lady's point of view, resulting in a major breakdown from Belly&mdash;plus, a realization that the upcoming nuptials aren't really her dream wedding, both from a celebration and groom stance.&nbsp;
Conrad, responsible as ever, looks after the boys on their night out. Wild-eyed, he finally finds out that Jeremiah cheated on Belly earlier in the year, provoking his long-withheld&mdash;and equally as long-awaited&mdash;'I still love you' confession to her on the beach. If one thing's for sure,&nbsp;The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 3, Episode 8 has plenty in store for viewers. Likely, Conrad and Jeremiah will have an inevitable showdown after the latter's cheating came to light. Beyond that, Belly's private fears of a rekindling with Conrad have been realized, so if we had to bet, there's a good chance the wedding is in jeopardy&mdash;especially considering her anxieties about the whole affair before the beach scene with Conrad.&nbsp;
With just <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/film-tv/the-summer-i-turned-pretty-season-3-out-now-what-time-does-tsitp-come-out" target="_blank" rel="noopener">a few episodes left in the season</a>, the clock is ticking for major plot moments still unrealized from the original book trilogy, but in the interest of pacing and emotional impact, it could be another episode before the wedding is called off altogether.&nbsp;

However, some fans are unsure that the show will follow this path after official posts from showrunners asked viewers not to bully cast members over the events of the season, meaning a major plot change could potentially be in store.&nbsp;

The Summer I Turned Pretty&nbsp;Season 3: Who Does Jeremiah End Up With?

In the final book, Jeremiah attends Belly and Conrad's wedding with an unnamed date, which is where his story ends. It's emphasized that even after their failed engagement, Jeremiah and Belly remain in contact.
With the screentime lent to minor characters in the TV adaptation, it's possible Jeremiah will receive a more fleshed-out ending&mdash;interestingly, fans online think Denise is a top contender.
